We live in a dispensation where there are so many different challenges presenting themselves to our children. Our children are faced with drugs, alcohol, pornography, and perversion challenges on a daily basis. They face bullying and peer pressure regularly, and many are becoming depressed and suicidal. On top of all of this, the worldly media and entertainment sector tries to entice them with anti-biblical thoughts and perspectives that negatively affect their worldviews and mindsets. Here are ten powerful prayer points that we can release and declare over our children (be sure to mention your children by name):
DECLARATION 1:
We declare that our Father knows each and every one of our children by name. We pray for them in line with Jeremiah 1:5 and declare that He knew them before they were formed and fashioned in their mother’s womb. He has consecrated them and set them apart for a Kingdom purpose and mandate, in Jesus’ mighty Name.
DECLARATION 2:
We declare that our children are protected under Psalm 91. Their minds, hearts, and thoughts are protected from evil influence, and they will not become victims of worldly addictions, perversities, or worldviews. They will fix their eyes on Yeshua Hamashiach, the author and finisher of their faith, and reflect on that which is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy.
DECLARATION 3:
Our children are not rebellious. They walk in obedience and they honour and respect us as their parents. And so, their days will be long, and it will go well for them in the land. They listen to our godly parental counsel and walk in obedience to the Word of God. As their parents, we receive grace to not provoke them into anger.
DECLARATION 4:
As their parents we will teach, train, equip, and activate our children in line with their redemptive gifts and Kingdom assignments, teaching them the way to go (Prov 22:6). Their souls shall be well.
DECLARATION 5:
Our children live in truth and according to truth. Truth is a person, the Person of Yeshua. In Him, they live and move and have their being. We declare that our children will live according to truth and represent truth in all that they do, in line with 3 John 1:4.
DECLARATION 6:
Our children are wise and not foolish (Prov 15:20). Their wisdom outweighs the wisdom of their opponents and is a wisdom from above that is irresistible, undeniable, and cannot be contradicted (Luke 21:15).
DECLARATION 7:
Our children will be disciples of the Lord, in line with Isaiah 54:13, and God will make peace abound for them. They are established in righteousness and shall be far from oppression. They are the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath.
DECLARATION 8:
Our children will prophesy, in line with Joel 2:28, and be carriers of grace and revival.
DECLARATION 9:
Our children are like freshly planted olive trees, in line with Psalm 128:3. They will carry and release burden-removing and yoke-destroying oil; they will sing the Lord’s praises and spread His wisdom.
DECLARATION 10:
We receive our children as a heritage from the Lord. They are like arrows in the hands of the mighty Warrior and will contend with enemies at the gate. The mighty Warrior will shoot and release them, and they will not miss their divine Kingdom targets, in Jesus’ mighty Name.
