Help us launch a new FM station in Côte d’Ivoire!
This West African nation needs the Gospel. Here’s an exciting new opportunity to bring it to them. The need is great, and the opportunity is now.
Côte d’Ivoire, also known as Ivory Coast, was once a model for co-operation among people of different faiths. Sadly, that is no longer true. Violence, disease, and desperation have gripped the West African nation. But we are excited to tell you about a new door of ministry in this hope-starved land! Read on to see what God is doing today in this part of the world — and how you can help.

A desperate nation
This West African nation experiences frequent violent confrontations between Muslims, who compose over 42 % of the population, and Christians, who are only about 23 %. A terrorist group has been conducting murderous raids into Côte d’Ivoire from the neighbouring country of Burkina Faso. Fear has spread like a toxic fog over the land.
However, terrorism is only one of the many problems facing this tiny country. Côte d’Ivoire also has the highest rate of HIV/AIDS in West Africa. Diseases such as diarrhoea, hepatitis, typhoid fever, malaria, dengue fever, and yellow fever are common. Infant mortality is unacceptably high. In short, the people of Côte d’Ivoire desperately need good news!
A wonderful new opportunity
That’s why we are excited to tell you about the wonderful new opportunity we have to share God’s message with the people of Côte d’Ivoire. TWR is working with our national partner, Radio Évangile, to launch a new FM radio station in the country’s capital, Yamoussoukro. Our broadcasts will be able to reach 450 000 people with life-changing programming.

Fulfilling the Great Commission
Another fact that makes our mission even more urgent, is that more than a third of Côte d’Ivoire residents belong to unreached people groups. Our new FM station will enable us to fulfil the Great Commission in a part of the world that desperately needs the truth. You can see why we’re eager to get the station up and running as soon as we can.
Take hands with TWR
Please join us in this exciting endeavour. Our projected cost to begin broadcasting from our new FM station is R1 620 225. That will enable us to obtain all the equipment we need and pay the other incidental expenses. Then we can begin sharing the message of hope in this troubled land. But we can’t start until we have the funds in hand. So please, prayerfully consider a generous gift today.

About the programmes
Our FM broadcasts in Côte d’Ivoire will be a blend of Bible-based programmes and other uplifting content in multiple heart languages, including French, Baule, and Dioula. About half of the programmes will present the Gospel and provide teaching on such topics as Christian discipleship and education. The rest will offer practical help in areas such as childcare and health and economic development. This unique mix of valuable content gained the approval of government authorities and helped us obtain a broadcast license. It’s an opportunity to change thousands of lives for good.

God has opened this door
We believe God is opening this door for TWR right now. This is a unique opportunity to provide God’s message of hope amid violence and persecution. You can play an important role in making that happen. Your generous gift today can make a life-changing difference for people who are hungering to know the true God. They need to hear about the One who “so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” This is a wonderful opportunity to be one of the founding donors of this new radio station in the West African country, Côte d’Ivoire.
