Thanks to the generosity of South African donors, residents of two towns in Israel now have Rapid Response Vehicles serving them in times of crisis.
The circumstances in the two towns are quite different. Modi’in is located midway between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv and has a population of around 95,000. This is a relatively “safe” town and this vehicle will be utilised to respond to the everyday medical crises that are normal in communities. The second vehicle is located in Kiryat Shmona, the largest town in the so-called Galilee panhandle and located close to the Lebanon border. The normal population of this town is around 23,000 but because of it being one of the main targets for Hezbollah attacks out of Lebanon, it is largely evacuated. This Rapid Response Vehicle situated in Kiryat Shmona will be responding to mostly medical crises related to the Hezbollah attacks.
On the doors of both vehicles is the message “From South African Christians who love and support Israel.” This counters the developing antagonism towards Israel by the SA Government that has culminated in their laying a charge of genocide against Israel with the International Court of Justice.
We will continue to counter the government’s anti-Israel stance with other, visible acts of love and support from South African Christians.
Blessings,
