Speak Jesus, which took place on 24 September, Heritage Day in South Africa 2022, was one of the spiritual highlights of my life. I have been preaching the gospel now for over 40 years but on Saturday I experienced the presence of the Holy Spirit like I have very rarely experienced.

The event was organised by a team of volunteers from Krugersdorp and around South Africa. People contributed their time, money, and resources freely to make this a memorable event. We thank Jesus for His provision, we do not ask for money, and we do not charge entry fees and yet everything has been paid for. We want to thank all the unseen helpers, the doctors, nurses, the fire brigade, the marshals, and attendants. Jesus knows who you are, and He will reward you.

Food packs were made for the poor and those that travelled from far. Donations for food were received from businesses and the working class alike. Buses were sponsored for those who had no transport. A choir was bused in from Back to the Bible College in Barberton, the students come from all over the continent of Africa. Their singing deeply touched the hearts of the audience. Special seating was provided for the disabled, sign language was available, lifts were provided for those battling with the walk from the parking lot to the event area. The spirit of love and compassion was felt by all. The Lord Jesus Christ was at the centre of this gathering.

Despite the heat and dust, the crowd sat in unity. The music was beautiful, the name of Jesus was lifted high and sung with love and reverence. We enjoyed music from a variety of artists and  bands  including The  Base  Church  Band,  Henry Pike – who sang I  Speak  Jesus,  and trumpeter, Dan Newell. They all honoured  Jesus with their amazing gifts. There were over

3000 intercessors praying for the meeting. After the message was preached, the crowd stood and confessed Jesus Christ as Lord of their life. Krugersdorp has a new name, it is clean, it is washed and is now called Jesus-dorp. There is a beautiful white cross planted on the top of the hill, a reminder of this special day and a reminder to keep speaking the name of Jesus, from whom we receive our healing, our deliverance, and our salvation.
