When you pour water on a rock, it has no impact on that rock at all. But put the largest of rocks on the bend of a strong-flowing river and watch what happens! That consistent force of the water will carve out the rock until it crumbles, and the water will once again flow freely.
Pouring out God’s love
The power and effect of our Dare to Love volunteer teams who are pouring out God’s love on a consistent basis, week in and week out, is ‘fruit’ on a whole next level! This force of constant love, poured out onto others, is God using His body to help remove the hearts of stone and replace them with hearts of (His) compassion and love! This enables the flow of His spirit through those renewed hearts! For hearts to be renewed and filled with the Holy Spirit, God uses all forms of different tools to draw people closer to Him.
Ezekiel 11:19-20
“And I will give them one heart [a new heart] and put a new spirit within them. I will take from them the heart of stone and will give them a heart of flesh [that is responsive to My touch], that they may walk in My statutes and keep My ordinances and do them. Then they shall be My people, and I will be their God.”
Outdoor movie night
Recently, The Dare to Love ministry hosted another Jesus Film outdoor movie night for the homeless in Pretoria – this time at Jubilee Square, Sunnyside. Throughout the evening, we prayed for people and saw deliverance – many hearts were healed!
Revival in Pretoria
This life-changing movie night was followed up with the most beautiful live worship and prayer by the Igniting Revival team! The next day, at our Dare to Love street church, the biggest crowd that we have ever experienced gathered to hear the Word of God! The Lord used all these different ministry teams and tools to draw so many people to come together and partake in His goodness and glory!
Testimonies abound
At the street church, testimonies flowed with experiences from those who attended the movie and worship night – it was so beautiful to hear! How beautiful to experience revival and see God’s glory manifest through the obedience of ordinary people who are willing and available to be His hands, feet, and voice!
Indeed, God is doing the work, but He needs His body in action to execute His will, to bring heaven to earth!
