We recently celebrated our pastors’, Apostle Theo and Doctor Beverley Wolmarans, forty years in ministry. What a testimony to the grace and mercy of God. This is also a testimony to the working of patience. “But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect [mature] and complete, lacking nothing.” – James 1:4
Endurance is Godly
This scripture above speaks about us going through times of trouble and trials. The word patience in this scripture means, amongst other things, “cheerful (or hopeful) endurance, constancy” – Strong’s Concordance. This scripture encourages us to face what we are going through and our future with hope. It also speaks to us about being constant in our relationship with God and with others. This is especially true in our efforts to witness. Many times, we face trials as we spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and sometimes it seems that we are not making any difference. Be encouraged, God is faithful, and you are making a difference in people’s lives and eternities. So, my fellow soul-winners, be constant in your Christian witness, be cheerful and hopeful. God is working through you to bring about everlasting change!
