This year has been full of bad news, but lets see some good news through the clouds and celebrate:
Middle East Peace: United Arab Emirates & Bahrain signed a peace deal with Israel, recognising it for the first time in its existence in 72 years. It is likely the remaining Arab states will follow soon. All except Oman have already clamped down on their citizens to stop them donating to terrorist groups. That means less chance of terrorism in the region. ISIS is going to have a hard time making a comeback it the region because their source of money is dried up. Now unlike the terrorist PLO, these states are actually likely to keep the peace agreement, which makes it meaningful.
Most people just haven’t realised the significance of this. Mainstream media are downplaying it because they hate Trump. If a democrat President had facilitated this, it would be all over the front pages. They are bitter, it wasn’t them. The mainstream media, leftist and Cultural Marxist political parties has also been supporting the campaign of hatred against Israel and this pulls the carpet from underneath them – and from the SA government boycott of Israel.
Now even if in the unfortunate instance, these countries were to reverse their stance of peace, as has Turkey, they can no longer ‘not recognise’ Israel – or argue they don’t have a right to exist. For the past 72 years, Israel has not even been allowed to be shown on their maps – it has been blacked out. It was referred to as ‘The Zionist Entity’ and the Arab world sought to destroy it. Taking a longer historical view, the Jews had pogroms and/or been expelled at one time or another from just about every country and city in Europe. Now they have a national home that others recognise.
Sex Ed Stalled: The South African Department of Basic Education had announced in 2019 they were to introduce ‘soft porn’ style sex education and abortion promotion (Comprehensive Sex Education:CSE). They also refused to recognise parents rights to control education despite massive protest. The Zulu King predicted God’s judgment. Corona came and parents took control of education. CSE has not happened and we still have time to protest and stop CSE.
Home Schooling Mainstreamed: Until 1994, home schooling was illegal in South Africa and even after that curtailed by a hostile education department. Covid19 has forced everyone to homeschool. Department of Basic Education has recognised parents right and duty to home school. A hostile relationship with the home schooling movement has turned to a friendly one. Lesufi Gauteng MEC education who was calling for investigation of home schooling on suspicion it was a political plot has become its most enthusiastic promoter. Many countries that did not allow homeschooling switched their policy to support. They won’t easily be able to go back. Millions of kids around the world will likely continue homeschooling after Covid19.
Abortion Drastically Reduced: Unfortunately, most people are really selfish and forget that our country is murdering about 100,000 innocent babies a year. Due to Covid19 (less casual sex and less going to abortionists, less availability of abortion doctors) that number has drastically dropped. Abortion has been cut more than all the efforts of the pro-life movement. We have yet to see the stats come out, but its likely many more babies have been saved than adults have died of Covid19. Cosmopolitan, South Africas women’s magazine that campaigned for legal abortion and promoted sex outside of marriage is gone due Covid19 losses.
The Sex Industry Takes A Hit: Due to Covid19, prostitution and the strip club industry has just about vanished.
Air Pollution Has Dropped: As a result of less cars on the road commuting to work, the air is the cleanest its ever been in our lifetimes. Fossil fuel use has dropped. And when Covid19 is over, the culture of working from home will likely mean it will not go back to where it was before.
We Have Gotten Past The Covid19 Peak: The health services have not collapsed due Covid19. We are passed the peak. We can be thankful to God and the medical heroes working overtime to enable this.
Cultural Marxism/Blm Is In Retreat: Earlier this year, many were swept along by a cultural Marxist movement that attempted to force everyone to bow before it. But people have woken up and are resisting.
Now people often ask us “Do we ever win”. Yes we do. But its a combination of circumstances, and alliances, quiet diplomacy and activism and divine intervention in answer to prayer that leads to victory. But when opportunities from changed circumstances come, we must take advantage of them and not just be passive. Help keep morale up by SHARING this good news.
