Newly engaged Hollywood couple, Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger, are planning on having a “religious wedding,” and sooner rather than later, according to People magazine.
A source close to the couple also told People that Pratt and Schwarzenegger want to keep God at the center of the marriage, and plan to have a marriage ceremony that reflects their faith.
“They’re going to want a religious wedding,” a source close to the couple said. “I know that Chris does, and I assume that she does, too. God is going to be a part of this marriage.”
The same source also added that Pratt appreciates how Schwarzenegger isn’t afraid to discuss her beliefs openly.
“He’s constantly around other people who have no faith or are apologetic about it, but not her. She is willing to talk about it to anyone who will listen,” the source said.
Another source told the magazine that the happy couple would wed soon, possibly in the upcoming summer months.
“They are one of those rare couples that you root for from the beginning. It won’t be a long engagement — Katherine has already talked about having a summer 2019 wedding,” the source said.
Pratt announced his engagement to Schwarzenegger on social media early Monday morning. sharing his excitement with his 22.4 million followers.
“Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes!” Pratt declared on social media. “I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go!”
Maria Shriver, Katherine’s mother, 63, commented on the photo, “Congratulations to two loving kind caring thoughtful Spirtual [sic] people. We are so happy for you you are blessed as is everyone who knows you.”
Pratt also shared the same update to Facebook, adding, “Ideally we’d have kept this secret for as long as possible. But considering there’s paparazzi camped out in the alley behind our house and they document everything whether we like it or not, we’ll take the lead here and release this statement.”
Schwarzenegger also shared the same photograph to her Instagram, saying, “My sweet love. Wouldn’t want to live this life with anyone but you.”
