When JOY! first shared the story of Lucas Perruquon and his journey to Drive For Jesus, it was a story about faith, perseverance and daring to believe that God can use even the racetrack for His glory.
Now, Lucas has another testimony to share.
At his latest race in Castelletto, Italy, as part of GP 12 Kartsport, Lucas secured P1 in his IAME X30 category and P2 overall, while also setting the fastest lap time of the race.
What makes the achievement even more remarkable is the equipment disadvantage Lucas faced. His engine had an estimated 3 to 5 horsepower less than those of some of his competitors.
Yet, Lucas sees the victory as far more than a sporting achievement.
“I thank the Lord, because nothing would have been possible without Him.”
Lucas’s journey with Drive For Jesus is a reminder that the dreams God places in our hearts can sometimes take us into unexpected places. For Lucas, that place happens to be behind the wheel, competing at the highest level while seeking to honour Christ through his racing.
His latest result in Italy is another milestone in that journey – and another opportunity to point beyond the podium to the One Lucas believes makes it all possible.
From the racetrack to the podium, Lucas continues to Drive For Jesus.
