Opinion piece by Errol Naidoo
Reading reports of the plans leftist organisations have for the nations of the world makes my blood run cold. UN agencies in partnership with global feminist and sexual rights groups have targeted the sanctity of life, the God-defined institutions of marriage and the family, motherhood, fatherhood and parental rights – to redefine it or outright destroy it.
The frontrunner for the next United Nations (UN) Secretary General job is radical feminist, Michelle Bachelet who has aggressively promoted abortion, gender ideology and climate alarmism for decades. If she gets the job, attacks against biblical norms will intensify.
Investigative journalists agree corruption, fraud, and the destruction of public infrastructure is out of control. President Cyril Ramaphosa has lost control of his party including government departments and agencies. Auditor-General, Tsakani Maluleke paints a bleak picture of the mismanagement of state resources. SA is being looted into bankruptcy.
My work at Family Policy Institute (FPI) and “Rescue SA Civil Rights Alliance” (RSACRA) is more critical now than ever before. We are fighting on multiple fronts for faith, family, freedom, and justice. The attacks on biblical values and the natural family are escalating.
In the midst of these escalating battles, FPI lost a longstanding and largest monthly financial partner on 28 Feb. We are currently in the most precarious position we have ever been. FPI is now unable to meet its monthly commitments (from 31 March). I am forced to seriously consider shutting down the ministry after 18 years of intense frontline battles.
The decline of FPI’s financial support was gradual. Over the past 15 months we lost a total of R67,000 in monthly support. That’s R804,000 annually. As a result of the steady decline, my salary did not increase in 6 years. I accept this sacrifice to sustain this vital ministry.
It’s a do or die situation. I must therefore appeal to FPI’s supporters to consider a monthly contribution of any amount for the next 12 months to support our pro-family work in SA and internationally. We must urgently increase our monthly income by R70,000 or shut down.
You can set up a monthly contribution of any amount – transferred directly into FPI’s banking account. Donations to FPI are tax-deductible. Tax-certificates are available on request. Your contributions not only help defend biblical values – it saves on your taxes.
It is critical we remain on the frontlines of the battle for faith, family, and freedom to expose and combat the relentless assault on life, marriage, the family, motherhood, fatherhood, parental rights, the sexualization of children in education and religious freedoms.
My work at RSACRA is also critical. I am working with some of SA’s top legal professionals to hold corrupt politicians accountable for their crimes against the South African people. Our first case against the ANC led government will be lodged with the High Court soon.
If FPI fails to improve its income immediately, I will be forced to shut down soon and end my work in RSACRA. We are sadly at the point of no return. FPI currently has a monthly deficit of R67,000 – which is occasionally offset by larger once-off financial donations.
Please commit to a monthly contribution of either R100, R200, R500, R1,000, R2,000, R3,000, R4,000 or R5,000 – for 12 months. If 1000 FPI subscribers (there are many more) committed to a monthly donation of just R100 – FPI would be much more effective.
If you have been considering partnering with FPI, now is the time to take-action. The anti-family groups we battle daily are well-financed. We are fighting for survival to continue proclaiming biblical truth at the UN, the SA Parliament, the media and general society.
FPI works to advance your values where it matters most. But we cannot do this on our own. We need your prayers, (monthly) financial partnership and participation to remain on the frontlines of the battle for faith, family, and freedom. Your support is therefore critical.
Significantly, our existing R40,000 monthly budget deficit has widened to R55,000 with the loss of FPI’s largest partner. Please consider a generous once-off tax-deductible donation today to help us overcome our current deficit. Your support keeps FPI in this critical fight.
