100 YEARS OF CHANGING LIVES
The Gideons International, founded in 1899, serves as an extended missionary arm of the church and is the oldest association of Christian businessmen and professional men in the United States of America. The Gideons International started distributing the Word of God in 1908. Today, we have more than 300,000 members – and an untold number of supporters – in 200 countries, territories and possessions across the globe.

These dedicated individuals give their time and money to make it possible for others to learn about the love of God by giving them access to His Word. In fact, we have placed or distributed more than 2 billion Bibles and New Testaments around the world and counting.

OUR VISION
Our vision is to win souls for Jesus Christ in South Africa through personal Witnessing using Personal Worker’s Testaments and by distributing Scriptures in approved distribution areas, as well as developing a sustainable organisation of volunteers and to ensure that the organisation remains financially self-sustaining.

OUR MISSION
Our Mission for 2020 The Gideons International in South Africa is to:

  • Have a support structure that facilitates a culture of excellence where 100% achievement, commitment and effort is the benchmark
  • Distribute Scriptures to all the selected areas, falling within the mandate of The Gideons International
  • Involvement of 100% of the members in camp activities
  • Establishment of a proactive relationship with each eligible church in all camp areas
