On February 8th 2020, Christ for All Nation’s (CfaN) President and Lead Evangelist, Daniel Kolenda, preached at The Send Brazil, the largest Christian event in that South American nation’s history. The Send Brazil was a 12-hour event that took place simultaneously in three stadiums in two of Brazil’s largest cities. The event reached 1.7 million people watching the livestream in Portuguese and over 560 000 watching in English. Many committed to fasting, reading Bible plans or sponsoring missions to the nations, colleges, and high schools.

Astounding numbers
A total of 180 people spoke at the event, including evangelical leaders Francis Chan, Michael Koulianos, Todd White, Daniel Kolenda, Randy Clark, and Christine Caine, among many others. Kolenda, a missionary evangelist and CEO for CfaN, has led over 21 million to Christ through his evangelistic campaigns. “God is on the move in Brazil,” he told the young people. Kolenda and his team were transported from one massive crowd to the next. By the day’s end, they had presented a clear, impassioned Gospel message at Brasilia National Stadium in Brasilia (the capital), as well as at Morumbi Stadium and Allianz Parque in Sao Paulo (the nation’s most populated city) – all between the hours of 10 am and 10 pm.

Multiple tens of thousands were inspired to commit their lives to Jesus.

Brazil’s president belong’s to God
More than 140 000 people attended the 12-hour, Jesus-centred meetings, which focused on sending missionaries into the world. The president of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, also attended.

Bolsonaro wasn’t invited by The Send Brazil, but came anyway. He asked the young people for prayer. He said he is a believer in Jesus and that Brazil “belongs to God.” He wanted to witness the historic event first hand. Local news outlets called the event the “largest Christian simultaneous event in Brazil’s history.”

Miracles and testimonies
Another electrifying moment of the day came when a wheelchair-bound man was healed by the power of God. He stood up from his chair and lifted it above his head to show off the amazing work of the Holy Spirit. It’s an image – and an inspiration – that won’t soon leave the tens of thousands who were there as witnesses.

God is catalysing an earth-changing missions’ movement in this generation.

The collaboration
The Send is a collaboration between several ministries led by Daniel Kolenda, Lou Engle, Michael Koulianos, Todd White, Brian Brentt, Teo Hayashi, and the team’s point man, Andy Byrd. The Send events are organised as a show of profound, Spirit-led unity and an unshakable faith that God is catalysing an earth-changing missions’ movement in this generation. Building on the success of The Send Orlando in 2019, the organisers were thrilled with both the turn out and the response from both the live audience and the more than 2-million people who joined the live-stream online for The Send Brazil. In both Orlando and Brazil, multiple tens of thousands were inspired to commit their lives to Jesus, to fast, to read Scripture, and to evangelise in their communities.

More than 140 000 people attended the 12-hour, Jesus-centred meetings, which focused on sending missionaries into the world.

Enthusiasm for salvation
Kolenda captured the enthusiasm in a statement posted to his Facebook page along with incredible photos from the day, saying, “God is raising up this generation to go out and be His hands and feet to spread the Gospel. The average age at all 3 stadiums was 24! #TheSendBrazil was a historical day for this country!”

Evangelist Kolenda will also speak at The Send Argentina on April 25th 2020 and The Send Kansas City in October. For Kolenda and the CfaN team, The Send is an integral part of realising a “Decade of Double Harvest” – their strategy to see as many people find salvation through Jesus in the next 10 years as did in the first 40 years of CfaN’s ministry. If the recent events in Brazil are any indication, God has every intent to see that goal met.
