The streets of Cape Town were filled with prayer, worship, and powerful purpose as hundreds joined Good Hope Christian Centre for the March of Hope, a citywide prayer walk calling for justice, healing, and revival.

Beginning at the Castle of Good Hope, participants marched through the city—passing Parliament, pausing outside City Hall, and returning to the Castle—symbolically retracing the footsteps of Jesus with a live portrayal of the crucifixion. The event served as a vivid reminder of His suffering, while simultaneously confronting the current challenges facing Cape Town: government corruption, gang violence, broken systems, and spiritual emptiness.

Led by Pastor Wendy McDonald, Founder and Senior Pastor of Good Hope Christian Centre, the march was more than a protest—it was a prophetic declaration of hope. “We marched with faith and conviction, believing that God hears the cry of His people,” said Pastor Wendy. “This is about reclaiming our streets, our communities, and our future through prayer, unity, and action.”

Community leaders, families, youth, and people of all backgrounds came together with banners, prayers, and worship, transforming the city into a living testimony of what it looks like when faith meets the public square.

The March of Hope marked a significant moment of unity in the city during the Lent and Passover season, reminding all who attended that even in the face of adversity, Jesus is still the answer.
