The ANC regime appears to be taking its cue from its totalitarian allies in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) by proposing legislation that grants its shadowy State Security Agency (SSA) far-reaching powers to investigate and conduct “security assessments” of persons and institutions (NGO’s and Faith Based Organisations like Churches) – “in the interest of national security.”

The South African government argues “it is a necessary step because South Africa was greylisted (due to the ANC regime’s own negligence) after failing to meet international standards set to curb terrorism financing (apparently a crime which NGOs and Churches can potentially facilitate).”

The “General Intelligence Laws Amendment Bill 2023” (GILAB) “was submitted to Parliament in August and was meant to address malfeasance at the SSA, including political factionalism, irregular expenditures and poor oversight; these problems were identified during the Zondo Commission of Inquiry into State Capture, which also heard testimony of the SSA actively monitoring and sabotaging civil society organisations deemed “hostile” to the regime.”

Considering the moral collapse within the ANC, GILAB is clearly a mechanism devised by a failed governing party to manipulate state agencies like the SSA for its own nefarious ends to monitor and sabotage faith-based organisations and NGO’s who expose its diabolical agenda.

The media reports, “legislative reforms aimed at removing South Africa from the greylist have already been made, with both the Hawks and the Financial Intelligence Centre gaining greater powers to investigate suspected NGOs and FBOs” – (which makes GILAB unnecessary).

“The 2021 Financial Action Task Force (FATF) report was produced in cooperation with South Africa, and contained details of the country’s performance measured against 40 standard FATF recommendations (to which all countries strive to adhere). The report put forth 67 recommended actions specific to South Africa to remedy shortcomings.”  Which includes money laundering.

“The country had a year to implement the plan, but failed and was greylisted in February this year. (Greylisting is an unofficial reference to a collection of countries the FATF has placed under “increased monitoring”, and which are working with the FATF to better meet its standards.)”

“The process gives the SSA access to any personal information they deem relevant (such as health and banking records), and can include the interception of private communications.” This means the ANC regime can misuse the SSA to spy on persons and groups it deems hostile to it.

The Biden administration in the US recently branded parents “domestic terrorists” for defending and protecting their own children from ideological indoctrination in the schooling system. Government’s are increasingly using state agencies to advance their agendas against citizens.

Alarmingly, when one considers the proposed GILAB legislation along with the “PEPUDA Amendment Bill” and the “Prevention & Combating of Hate Crimes & Hate Speech Bill” it becomes apparent the ANC regime is deliberately perverting the law to severely restrict and control religious freedoms and more particularly, religious free speech that opposes its wicked ideology.

In both the “PEPUDA Amendment Bill” and “Hate Crimes” laws, the definition of what constitutes hate speech or hate crimes are deliberately overly broad. This means the courts are left to define or interpret what hate speech or hate crimes are depending on the particular complaint. It leaves the Bible-based Church vulnerable to a flood of frivolous litigation by radical LGTBQ groups etc.

Inspired by its totalitarian allies in China, Russia and Cuba, the ANC regime is maliciously perverting the law and manipulating state intelligence agencies to do its dirty work to spy on religious groups, sabotage legitimate civil-society functions and suppress religious free speech.

The Christian Church leadership in South Africa must collectively oppose governments agenda to not only spy on and sabotage faith-based-organisations like Churches and NGO’s but also severely restrict religious free speech under the guise of combating inequality & discrimination.
