EP releasing 1 June 2020 featuring London’s All Souls Orchestra and South Africa’s LIV Village Choir – dedicated to artist Louise Campion’s own Father.
Louise Campion is a singer-songwriter, originally from South Africa, now based in London. Her father, Raymond John Campion was an incredible pipe organist who faithfully led worship at Frere Rd Presbyterian Church in Durban over a period of 60 years.
She writes: “I have dedicated the Hold Me Father EP to my amazing dad who passed away in 2017 after a 6 year fight with cancer. The 1st of June was his birthday, and June happens to be Father’s Day month too, so it feels right and fitting to honour his memory and legacy in the same month that fathers all around the world are celebrated!”
Louise completed her BA Music Degree (Summa Cum Laude) at U.K.Z.N., Durban, in 2008. During her three year undergraduate degree, she achieved a total of 16 Certificates of Merit; 6 Dean’s Commendations; 3 U.K.Z.N. Scholarships, as well as the SAMRO Undergraduate bursary. Louise was actively involved in leading worship at Glenridge Church, Durban for many years prior to relocating to the United Kingdom where she is now the Worship Pastor at KingsGate Church in Kingston-Upon-Thames.
Hold Me Father is a soaring and emotive orchestral, piano and vocal song that takes the listener on an epic musical journey into the heart of Father God. There are a number of goosebump moments and the beauty, depth and power of the orchestral score stands out in particular as something really special and unique. It is unusual these days to hear a real orchestra playing on a contemporary song, and this is what makes this song feel like a rare treasure.

Hold Me Father, performed live, has blessed people around the world and brought comfort, healing, restoration and peace to broken hearts over many years. This new version of this song at this time in history is set to impact people in a whole new and remarkable way.
The production of the song attracted significant attention and some leading UK musicians chose to be part of the recording. Neil Costello produced the song whilst Mark Edwards (toured with Katie Melua) and Julian Wiggins (film score composer) created the orchestral score. Noël Tredinnick conducted the All Souls Orchestra, and Lawrence LJ Johnson (Vocal Coach for X factor & The Voice and Vocal Arranger for Stormzy, Tori Kelly, Leona Lewis, Take That, Sam Smith, Westlife, etc.) arranged and performed the backing vocal parts alongside Tarna’Renae Johnson and Margo Michelle. Ali Berry (Associate Musical Director for The Lion King, London) created the LIV Choir arrangement, and the song was mastered by Geoff Pesche at Abbey Road Studios.
Louise also recorded a special version of Hold me Father with the LIV Village Choir recorded by Niklas Fairclough in South Africa, to help raise awareness for the orphaned and abandoned children at the village.

For over 20 years, Louise Campion has travelled the world leading worship, training worship teams and preaching at various churches, conferences and events. Her most recent events being: Scarlet Ladies Conference in Dubai (with Starla Webster, Anna & Elle Smith, Jake Isaac, Alex & Henry Seeley); David’s Tent in West Sussex; Dwell Conference in London for the last 9 years (which has hosted guests like Heidi Baker, Julian Adams, Paul Tothill, Ryan Matthews, Allan Boehm, Jake Isaac); Caroline Leaf and
Dany Johnson in London; John Mark Comer event in Durban; Renaissance Conference in Durban (with Eric Johnson and Julian & Katia Adams); She has also been involved in numerous album recordings in various capacities – singing, playing piano, songwriting, and vocal arrangements.
Over the years Louise has shared the stage or led worship alongside many artists including: Jake Isaac, The Brilliance, Elle Limebear, Henry Seeley, Sean Feucht, Riana Nel, Brad & Josh Klynsmith (Gangs of Ballet), Civil Twilight, Daena Jay and Jules Burt. She was part of Hilton Greig’s (of 24Skies) first band who opened for Grammy and Dove award winning gospel artists: Michael W. Smith and Casting Crowns on their respective South African tours. She also opened for The Brilliance alongside the
Voices of Hope Choir for their main show in London in 2019.
