“I was in prison because of drugs. I thought it was the end of my life, but I did not realise that in that prison cell, I would encounter God,” a FEBA Philippines listener shares. This is one of many testimonies FEBA has received from prisons in various parts of Asia, where FEBA broadcasts radio programs, enrols students in their Bible Correspondence Course, and conducts services.

Natalia, one of FEBA Russia’s presenters, has a passion for prison ministry. She knows the hardships endured by prisoners and their families, both while imprisoned and afterwards. “I know that only Jesus can truly change the life of someone who spent years in a Russian prison,” she says. “That’s why I’m so glad that FEBA allows me to reach these people through radio.”

More than 25,000 FEBA Thailand listeners are enrolled in the FEBA Bible Correspondence Course, and many of them are in prison. The course contains 18 lessons that teach Biblical essentials in a way that people who were raised in a Buddhist culture can understand. Some of the students who have come to Christ now run small groups in their respective prisons, even in the notorious Bang Kwang Prison, the “death row” prison near Bangkok!

FEBA Indonesia has started conducting monthly worship services for Protestant and Catholic believers in Tangerang’s Class I Penitentiary. The first service for 2024 was held on 9 January, and 35 prisoners attended. FEBA Indonesia is currently waiting to receive permission to hold a Bible school in the prison.

FEBA seeks to bring the Good News to people wherever they are, because no one is out of God’s reach. Even when all seems lost, He is there. In the words of this FEBA Thailand listener: “When I first entered jail, I suffered the most. But then I met God here, and now I have a lot of hope.”
