The 4th annual Kgalagadi Music Festival is set to take Kuruman in the Northern Cape by storm with heavy weight performances this coming Easter weekend.
Northern Cape’s most anticipated flagship event – The Kgalagadi Music Festival is once again geared to thrill festival goers on the 20 April 2019 at Wrenchvillle Stadium, Kuruman. Putting the often-overlooked Northern Cape region firmly on the musical map, the 4th Annual Kgalagadi Jazz Festival promises a stunning line up of South Africa’s heavyweight jazz, Gospel, and afro pop singers, the premier festival promises top class entertainment.
Scheduled to perform at the anticipated event is an impressive line-up of talent both young and old, including top stars from South Africa and neighbouring countries. Headlining will be Afro-Soul sensations Zonke, Samthing Soweto and Mlindo, the master jazz musician Feya Faku and guitarist Selaelo Seloto, Gospel heavyweight Lebo Sekgobela and Lesotho born favourite, Bhudhaza.
The Kgalagadi Music Festival is an exciting package of fantastic experiences for the patrons locally and from out of town. The Festival has three components to its programme including the music festival and two developmental components which comprise of a music and crafts workshop. The music workshop, run by seasoned trumpeter, Feya Faku will leave a long lasting impact on the participants as he will share his understanding and deep knowledge of the music business. Faku will also impart his skills to local musicians and further teach them about the tricks of the trade through music business sessions.
