Situated just north of Edenvale, Mount Zion Prayer Hill has become a sought-after prayer and fellowship retreat for Christians throughout South Africa and the nations, with many travelling locally and from abroad to spend time in the Lord’s presence at the facility.

This mountainous ridge in Meadowdale is something spectacular with its rich flora and fauna varieties, and rock formations; and breathtaking view of the Joburg skyline.

A path up the prayer hill leads to a small double-story prayer and office building, which has at its upper level an Upper Room, encircled by glass panel windows which overlook the City of Gold, Johannesburg – which has also been called the City of God, by Christians of faith.

At the foot of the prayer hill is an olive grove, planted to become the sacred retreat of many in need of a lifeline or moment in the presence of the Lord. Beyond this is the Beula Park International Conference Centre with its conference facilities, outdoor stage of live performances, and Christian training centre.

This beautiful venue will provide the setting for the upcoming launch of Kingdom Vision Radio, which radio manager Pastor Eugene van Straten said could potentially draw in millions, even billions, with its powerful messages of hope and faith to a world in need of truth.

Since the station is streamed online, the local Kingdom Vision Radio team envisages recruiting participants from across the globe, bringing the church into unity for the single cause of making Jesus known in every household worldwide.

The team includes radio manager Pastor van Straten, associate manager Sindiso Langa, network manager Reverend Jonathan Naicker, receptionist Zoe Pali, Receptionist, and show host Pastor Helena Bauscher.

It would seem Pastor van Straten and the team have every reason to have big dreams for the station. Already, Jimmy Swaggart Ministries in the US has shown interest in being a part of the project; and there has been buy-in from ministries as far afield as Rio!

Work on setting up on the station has taken months, and one of the pivotal moments in its timeline, since inception, was a prayer meeting held exclusively for the station in the Upper Room, hosted by Dr Nico Landman, Mount Zion visionary.

Now with everything on the starting block, the Kingdom Vision Radio team is ready to take flight with the launch.

This will be held at the venue, 437 Sam Green Road, Meadowdale, Germiston, from 9am to 1pm on Saturday, 4 February, and will include entertainment by Puleng March and various worship teams, and the opportunity for local businesses to set up exhibition stalls. Phomelelo Mhlaba will be Mastor of Ceremonies on the day.

Those wanting to listen to the launch online can download the special Kingdom Vision Radio app on all app stores for free, which has been designed to be both effective and easy-to-use, and which can be tailored to accommodate one’s home language. Among the app features are a WhatsApp button, allowing users to communicate requests with the station; a link which allows for easy live-streaming of the radio content; and links allowing easy connection to the Kingdom Vision Radio social media pages, daily programme and news.

The team behind the exciting project believe the radio station will break limitations in crossing borders and reaching the four corners of the globe.

They hope to train and equip God’s people through daily sermons, discussions and regular conferences; to address social ills, like gender-based violence and abuse; and to provide a platform for interactive prayer. Community outreach work and counselling by specialists will also be facilitated through the station, and the station is looking to work with local businesses to uplift the community.

With everything fully-licensed and set up, says the team, it is now time to get the community, the nation and the nations on board!
