In response to the upheaval in Ukraine, our team did not back down. They did not flee the country or hide in fear. The men, sent their families to safety, moved their headquarters to the west of the country where the conflict is less. Director, Eduard travelled extensively at the onset of the war to try and salvage equipment at crucial stations or manage repairs to ensure that broadcasts would continue. This team of modern – day evangelists in Ukraine need more than long-suffering, like Paul who endured shipwreck, was thrown into prison and harshly mistreated, instead circumstances demand that they have technological prowess, acute foresight, and an unbendable determination to fulfil the vision.
They have now, managed to make repairs to one of the stations that was damaged and established a new station in an area close to the center of the conflict towards the east in the city of Zaporizhzhia. 100 radios were distributed to the people of Zaporizhzhia. They are now connected to a divine lifeline that is altering the course of their spiritual lives. The concept of listener clubs, which our ministry uses in Malawi and Mozambique will also be applied in Ukraine. In Africa, one radio impacts at least 50 people, therefore when we do the math’s, 100 radios have the potential to reach 5000 people in that city. Imagine what an army of 5000 disciples can do?
Currently, FEBC’s ministry in Ukraine can be heard in six cities: Donetsk, Slavyansk, Kremenschuk, Pokrovsk, Mykyolaivka and Zaporizhzhia. What is unique about our ministry is that we do not just broadcast the gospel through stand-still stations. Our ministry is an interactive evangelistic mission. Our broadcasters and team members are empowered, to not only host radio shows where they share the word and conduct interviews. They also actively engage with their listeners, by meeting with them, contacting them directly to minister to them or pray for them and in many cases provide aid or relief.

“We thank God that we were able to send over 100 radios to the people Zaporizhzhia, where we opened a new station. Please pray for a great harvest of souls as people hear the Good News of Jesus Christ!”
