An old photo of President Cyril Ramaphosa has been making the rounds on social media and circulating via WhatsApp and Facebook showing President Cyril Ramaphosa as a young high school student in the Student Christian Movement branch of Sekoane-Ntoane high school. President Cyril Ramaphosa was, at the time, not only the Chairman of the Student Christian Movement, but he was the author of the SCM article in question.
President Cyril Ramaphosa as a young high school student in the Student Christian Movement branch of Sekoane-Ntoane high school.
In the SCM article, the President references the strong Christian principles that the movement cherishes and also alludes to the great growth that the movement is experiencing. As a nation and a continent, President Cyril, we are positive that growth will happen in South Africa and the continent when Christian and Kingdom of God principles are once again fully applied.
Between 2001-2004, I had the privilege of working with President Cyril Ramaphosa on an UN agency project driven by the ILO (International Labour Organization) Swiss Project in Pretoria. Our office operated as the Secretariat to the Millennium Labour Council, a bi-partite forum between labour and trade unions that was established to promote labour peace in South Africa and SADC nations. Our office hosted the numerous meetings of this council in South Africa and other nations. At the time, President Cyril Ramaphosa represented big business in this council. I remember him, in particular, for his humility and his accessibility. Tautona Mo Eteledi pele, may you remain humble, accessible and open to hearing the cry of the nation in Jesus name!
President Cyril Ramaphosa is the current sitting chairman of the African Union. Our prayers for him, therefore carry implications for the whole continent. Africa carries a redemptive purpose for the nations globally. Going forward, Africa will no longer be a Begging Bowl, but a Breadbasket providing relief to the nations with her resources, her gifts and her wisdom. That relief will be voluntary given and exercised with responsible stewardship and servant leadership, not led by former colonial masters who rule from remote nations. We pray for you to exercise wisdom and godly leadership within the AU Tautona.
The prophetic word that has been released over Africa and confirmed many times over, declares that Africa is carrying a revival seed that will be ignited in many nations in Africa and carried to other continents. As the AU Chairperson, Tautona Ramaphosa, we pray that you and the other African leaders will not only do what is best for the African nations, but that you will allow God to use you to facilitate the alignment of every African nation to its redemptive purpose and for Africa to be aligned as a continent to fulfill its mandate to the rest of the world. There are hidden medical and global resource solutions that must come from Africa in this season!
President Cyril Ramaphosa, you threw out a challenge to South Africa some time ago asking who was ready to take the journey with you to build South Africa. You started the #ThumaMina movement. South Africa and the rest of Africa are ready to journey with you, but not at the expense of our fundamental values and principles of UBUNTU which are biblically aligned. A nation without values, ethics and morality is a nation without a soul. We are prepared to journey with you Tautona Ramaphosa, but not at the expense of losing our soul.
Sangoma’s and ancestral spirits will not save this nation. Only JESUS saves!
Pray for your Leaders
The Word of God instructs us in 1 Timothy 2:2 to pray for our leaders. We have just celebrated Passover and resurrection Sunday, in particular. Our main prayer for you Tau Tona Ramaphosa is for the seed of salvation that was planted many years ago in your heart to be watered and revived and flourish, so you can lead the nation with the wisdom of God according to Luke 21:15 and lead with a boldness and servant leadership style, that ensures that that you continue to serve the nation and align it with it’s redemptive purpose . In your SCM article Mr. President you wrote and said that the aim of the Student Christian Movement was to:
- get people to accept Christ as their personal Savior
- to live as true disciples of Christ , and to
- devote themselves to the extension of the Kingdom of God
That is our prayer for you. We pray for your relationship with Christ and for you to live as a true disciple of Christ who will devote himself to the extension of the Kingdom of God, in Jesus mighty name!
Re a go rapelela TauTona Cyril Ramaphosa! We are praying for you President Cyril Ramaphosa
