WHAT IS HAPPENING?
On Monday 6 February, a 7.8-magnitude quake shook southern Turkey and northern Syria, levelling thousands of buildings. The death toll and number of casualties continues to climb as rescue workers contend with powerful aftershocks.
WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?
This devastating earthquake opens the door for a compassionate response, not only from believers in both nations but from the international community – offering comfort and practical assistance. The Church can demonstrate the Lord’s restorative power through a committed response in rebuilding shattered lives.
Pray
• for a swift and effective response from the governments in both nations
• for the God of all comfort to console those in mourning especially through His Body
• for His Church to reach out practically and spiritually, that through this tragedy many may
encounter Christ
