In 2016, my life was marked by one of the most defining and painful seasons I have ever walked through. I faced a wave of rejection, emotional abuse, substitution, and a deep sense of being unseen and undervalued. These were not just passing experiences – they pierced the core of who I was. I remember asking God, in a moment of deep anguish, “Why would You allow me to go through this? Why this level of pain, why this stripping away?” And the Lord responded with clarity that shook me to my core: “Because your pain carries healing power for the next person.”
Birthed in brokenness
It was through that sacred encounter that Ladies’ Dwelling Place ministry was birthed – not out of ambition or recognition, but from the pain I had just come through. It was God’s intentional response to a heart that had been broken, yet remained surrendered. He made it clear: This ministry would be a place where weary women could find strength, where brokenness could be healed, and where they’d rediscover who they are in Him.
A word for the weary
The foundational scripture for this work is Isaiah 50:4, “The Sovereign Lord has given me an instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary.” That word was not just a promise – it was a commissioning. It became the lens through which I saw the assignment: to speak life to the weary, to create room for healing, and to allow God to use my wounds as channels for His work.
A growing well of healing
Since its birthing, Ladies’ Dwelling Place has grown through intentional mentorship and annual services that are not merely events, but divine appointments. Women from various walks of life have stepped into those gatherings carrying silent battles and left encouraged, clear-minded, and spiritually uplifted. The impact has extended beyond words – transforming lives, restoring confidence, and reviving dreams that had long been buried.
Beauty from ashes
What continues to amaze me is how God uses what the world would discard. He took what was meant to diminish me and turned it into a platform for others to rise. This ministry has not only reached women – it has resurrected them. It has drawn them out of hiding and helped them step into the calling God has for them.
A decade of grace
As we mark ten years of this God-ordained work, we pause with intentional gratitude. The theme for this milestone year is “The posture of gratitude”. It is a celebration of God’s faithfulness – of every life touched, every heart mended, every testimony birthed through surrender. Women will gather not to celebrate a name, but to glorify the Name above all names – the One who turns mourning into dancing, who births purpose through pain.
He wastes nothing
This ministry is a reminder that God wastes nothing. What breaks you may very well be what builds the next person. And in His hands, even our hardest moments can become places of purpose. Ladies’ Dwelling Place was birthed through pain – but it exists for healing, purpose, and divine identity.
