Foreign inspired assaults on Biblical values, the natural family, and religious freedoms are escalating in South Africa. As a consequence, Family Policy Institute’s (FPI) workload has increased significantly.
FPI has launched a campaign to defeat the agenda to redefine marriage in SA. Government released the “Green Paper on Marriages in SA” for public comment. The ANC regime prefers “gender neutral” marriage laws. However, the Green Paper provides 3 policy options which allows the SA public to determine the option that favours man, woman marriage.
Apparently, the policy proposals in the Green Paper were not well received in Parliament. Home Affairs Minister, Aaron Motsoaledi is desperately trying to sell this folly to SA.
I am currently drafting a substantive FPI submission in response to the policy proposals in the Green Paper and will also assist individual citizens, Churches, and organisations to draft their own submissions to ensure our voices are amplified on this vital issue to defend marriage.
Critically, however, FPI’s lack of funding is undermining its vital efforts to defend the family and promote Biblical values in Parliament, the media and general society. Sadly, we are facing the prospect of cancelling our vital TV programs if things don’t improve soon.
The anti-family groups we battle daily have multi-million rand budgets to advance their wicked agendas. We cannot match their huge budgets but we also cannot fight these battles without finances. FPI needs a fighting chance to defeat these anti-life and anti-family attacks in SA.
FPI is leading the battle to end the sexual indoctrination of children in education. We launched “Smart Choices” the values-based alternative to “Comprehensive Sexuality Education” (CSE) to protect the innocence of children and strengthen parental authority.
However, a proposed binding agreement between the European Union (EU) and African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) nations threaten to make CSE compulsory. The EU/ACP agreement forms part of the EU’s greater vision to reshape global governance. However, this binding treaty will also advance the EU’s abortion and sexual rights agenda globally.

FPI is working with its international pro-family allies to expose and defeat the EU’s abortion and sexual rights agenda in South Africa. This treaty must be ratified in Parliament. We are working on an international strategy with global legal experts to defeat this diabolical plan.
We must stop government redefining marriage and making CSE compulsory in schools. However, we need your prayers and partnership to remain on the frontlines of the battle for faith, family and religious freedoms in SA. Your prayers and support are critical.
Furthermore, there are growing calls to enact “Hate Crimes” laws to criminalise the Scriptures that condemn sexual sin. The agenda to decriminalise prostitution in SA is also gaining traction. If adopted, the EU/ACP treaty will make “sexual rights” a policy priority in SA.
