When we share our stories of faith, our voices will never die; on the contrary, we will continue to speak. Our “Exodus experience”, leading us to our promised land, can be voiced through the power of the pen. The voice within the voice through these stories will continue to speak. The world needs our story, as our testimony could be someone’s GPS, healing, word in season, or a kairos moment so needed. Every story, when dipped in His grace and covered in the blood of Jesus, brings glory to the Father.
Scriptural foundations of testimony
You shall overcome by the word of your testimony and by the blood of the Lamb (Rev 12:11). This Scripture signifies that we, as believers, through faith and personal witness, will surely overcome and conquer any opposition, even unto death, as we rely on the power of God’s Word and the sacrifice of Jesus.
Proclaiming our faith
The word of our testimony is to proclaim our stories of faith, knowing our victory is in Christ alone, even in the face of opposition. Declaring that we will not waver from our faith in the Lord during hardships, any tribulation, or even in the face of death. Our ability to endure is only found in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Sacred journeys of faith
We will tell the stories of God’s goodness. Our journeys are sacred – a gift that, while unexpected for some, ultimately leads us to the greatest reward: God Himself.
Echoes of extraordinary lives

Legacy of Abel’s faith
Hebrews 11:4, “…and by faith, Abel still speaks, even though he is no more.” We are all pilgrims; we are meant to pass through this life. Penning our stories down and sharing our stories of faith, our voices will never die; instead, they will continue to speak!
The importance of storytelling
Let us write our stories because it will cause our voices to echo from one generation to the next. We owe it to our children. We need to tell our stories with wisdom so that they don’t make the same mistakes. Our lessons learnt will guide them and give them hope to endure whatever may come their way. We normally only hear the good parts of the stories about our families and don’t hear the not-so-good parts. How will they know and learn if we are not authentic and not willing to make ourselves vulnerable? They must know how keeping the faith and having hope in Christ will enable them to come back up again.
Transformation in creation
The protea, South Africa’s national flower, is one of the most beautiful flowers. During a very difficult season in my life, it became such a powerful symbol of encouragement to me. Proteas depend on fire and frost to multiply, while they symbolise courage, diversity, and transformation. They represent resilience and strength. They grow bigger and better from ashes. Fire and fierce winter seasons are the best that could happen to proteas. They have the ability to regrow after wildfires from the blackest ashes. The flowers may die, but the root systems bedded in the ground allows the plant to resprout over and over again. When we allow our roots to be deeply imbedded in Christ, the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit, we will continue to grow and will never die.
