My wife and I are so thankful to our Lord Jesus Christ for His endless love and provision in our lives every day. We would like to share one specific blessing from God as a testimony to encourage everybody who reads it to keep believing and trusting Jesus for His provision in all our lives. In these difficult, uncertain times He is the only true never-changing God of hope for us all.
An economical car
For quite some time, my wife Thea and I had prayed for an economical car. For three years, without success, we were trying to sell two of our classic Mercedes cars to enable us to buy an economic car. All my life I have been a Mercedes enthusiast and collector.
I will never forget the moment on Tuesday 7th June 2021 when a voice told me to look at the advertisements of the 3 series BMW on Auto Trader. I looked and saw the advert for a 2001 BMW 330i. Then I found a car test for the BMW 330i in the December 2000 issue of Car magazine and was highly impressed.
Following the Lord’s guidance
The following Wednesday morning, I phoned the dealership and spoke to the owner personally. I went in with my 1982 Mercedes 380 SE. The whole deal went as I had prayed for and, to make a long story short, the dealership bought both my 1982 Mercedes 380 SE and my 1976 Mercedes 350 SE (both of which I failed to sell for three years). At lunchtime on Wednesday 8th June, I went home in our new fully paid for 2001 BMW 330i, plus R30,000 cash in the bank. I praised God all the way home and I still praise God every time I drive or see our BMW 330i.
Our dream car, a gift from God
The 330i is now our dream super car: it goes from 0-100 km per hour in 6,7 seconds, has a top speed of 250 kilos per hour, and an average fuel consumption of 11 kilos per litre (9,1 litres per 100 km). Praise the Lord for His guidance, His wisdom, and His involvement in all the little details in our lives.
