Constitutional Court discusses whether politically incorrect passages of the Bible should be banned as ‘hate speech’! The case is supposed to be about Qwelane’s right to free speech, but Adv Oppenheimer argues he should be allowed because the Bible is stronger extreme in condemning homosexuality than Qwelane. But the Concourt doesn’t take the right to quote the Bible for granted. Advocate Mark Oppenheimer defending the right to quote Leviticus 20 and 1 Corinthians 6 in SAHRC vs Qwelane. The judgment on the case is still pending.
