A statement of support on behalf of thousands of South Africans has been handed over to the office of the Chief Justice, Mogoeng Mogoeng.

The statement includes the hundreds of supportive messages and prayers that emerged from a petition to the President of South Africa, presently signed by 122 thousand people.

The initiators of the statement, The International Christian Embassy of Jerusalem (ICEJ), Bridges For Peace, and South African Friends of Israel, (SAFI), are also organising countrywide prayer vigils.

ICEJ Director, Vivienne Myburgh, handing over messages of support and updates on the petition to Allister Slingers of the Office of the Chief Justice, seen with Pastor Tom Mofokeng of Bridges for Peace and Bafana Modise of SAFI at the Constitutional Court.

The statement stands in opposition to groups that seek to censure and silence Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng on his remarks about his Biblical love for Israel alongside the peaceful resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

ICEJ Director, Vivienne Myburgh said, “The Chief Justice is also subject to the Constitution of which he is custodian, therefore he too can freely express his personal opinion.

It’s irrational that our government chooses to support recognised terrorist entities such as Hamas which offers South Africans nothing whilst rejecting Israel’s numerous aid offers – aid that is now benefitting many African countries from Ethiopia and Ghana to our close neighbours Eswatini and Malawi. Even the Arab countries are now recognising the value of supporting Israel.”

  1. Typical of the followers of the anc and their evildoers they would rather choose the the curse than the blessing as in Genesis 12 vs 3

    • Amen to that Brother…Amen to that! Very evident in the state of our country….time for children of God of all colours to make their voices heard.

  2. Thank you for your courage, chief Justice. We stand with you in this attack against freedom of speech , which has not displayed any hate.

  4. We pray for the injustice against Born Again Christians in our beloved country, AND WE LOVE ISRAEL, AS OUR SAVIOR WAS BORN THERE AND THEY ARE GODS CHOZEN NATION. Those who turn against ISRAEL are turning their backs on GOD, BECAUSE THEY DO NOT KNOW HIM!!!!
WE SOLUTE YOU CHIEF JUSTICE MOGOUNG MOGOENG !!!!!! we love you and support you with our whole heart!!!! MAY GOD USE YOU AS NEVER BEFORE IN THIS CORRUPT GOVERNMENT AS NEVER BEFORE, BE SALT AND LIGHT !!!

  5. We thank all South Africans for standing up for our Christian values. I strongly believe that it is high time we understand who is above everything and stop being abused by politicians. We are in the mess we are today as the nation because we allowed ourselves to keep quiet and conform to the patterns of this world, while Romans 12 :2 tells us not to do that.

Now it’s time to fight for Christian values in our schools to come back, so that we can raise more leaders like Our Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng.

God bless Africa and His world and give us peace.

  6. I admire Chief Justice Mogoeng for standing strong for what he believes in (When God is with us, who can be against us) Amen

  13. God is judge over all and we ask Him to render verdict for chief justice Mogoeng and may the blood of Jesus speak on his behalf and silence the voice of the accuser in Jesus Might name.

  14. We are so grateful to have someone who is prepared to be a martyr rather than denounce his faith. This is so envouraging and uplifting seeing that such times of mass martyrdom are getting closer each day. His faith and obedience gives us courage to stand strong, look up to Christ and accept death rather than please people and lose eternal life. May God continue to strengthern our Chief Justice and give him peace in all of this.

  15. Psa 122:6 “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem (In Israel) Let them prosper those who love it

Genesis 12:3 God said to Abraham” I will bless those who bless you and I will curse those who curse you”

I LOVE ISRAEL, May God bless them

Chief I’m in the same WHATSAPP group with you when it comes to loving Israel.

Our God will content with those who content with you

  16. Chief justice Mogoeng Mogoeng has represented his faith and the Christian community well. We know that many people got into top position through the help of God after many prayers. But as soon as they land on power, they forget the very same God that parachuted them to the skies. We’ll keep supporting his public vigilance. God will never leave him nor forsake him. He leads by example. I support the petition and plead to many who have not yet signed to follow suit.

  17. We need more men like you CJ. God bless you for your boldness and above all your obedience to scripture. we stand with you 100%.

  18. Genesis 12:3.I will bless those who bless Israel.Chief Justice,I support you 💯%.You encourage us not to fear who we are, Christians, followers of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.I will keep praying for you, with you.

  19. I decree and declare the power of the Holy Spirit to be upon the Chief Justice . I speak more wisdom and more discernment on him in the mighty name of Jesus. I speak the blood of Jesus to saturate him and cover all areas of his life in the name of Jesus. I declare Isaiah 7:7 upon his life and his family in the mighty name of Jesus. No power of the enemy shall prevail in the matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen

  20. Amazing how millions have read Gen. 12 and 15. Paul said in Gal. 3:8 God announced the GOSPEL to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you…” 3:16 The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his Seed. The scripture doesnt say seeds” meaning many people, but and to your seed” meaning one person, who is Christ”. We are blessed through Christ and the gospel!

Psalm chapter 122 verse 6 Pray for the peace of Je-ru’sa-lem: they shall prosper that love thee. Chief Justice didn’t do anything wrong he stood for what God says in His word. We bless you Chief Justice in the midst of your storm there is one greater then all on this earth, that’s our Almighty Father who sent Jesus to die for this world. SA its time for us to repent of our sins and give ourselves to the Lord Jesus He is the only way two heaven, look at the current world read Matthew 24 and revelation 13 onwards the light bulb going on and off its the truth when u look at the current world Jesus is on His way, the rapture will take place sooner than you know it, you don’t not want to be left behind because you will pay with your own blood, the mark of te beast is here knocking at your door especially those of you who have families are being more attacked stand strong on the word you will get through it all, Like Chief Justice we need to stand up for the Truth and support Him, Chief Justice is a God fearing man, we must all be God fearing because we must all meet in heaven soon.
