TBN in Africa, the largest faith and family television network, is proud to announce the launch of Zuri, a lifestyle talk show for the cosmopolitan Christian woman, starting Monday 4 March 2019 at 19:30 CAT.

Zuri, a Swahili word that means ‘Beautiful’, aims to remind women of the beauty of holiness and the power thereof. Through inspiring and thought-provoking segments, it promotes spiritual development and personal growth, encouraging women to pursue true beauty and become their most authentic selves. Some of the guests in the first season include television and radio personality, Rorisang Thandekiso; the television executive turned politician, Hlaudi Motsweneng; Television production entrepreneur, Thokozani Nkosi; and Television presenter, Luthando “Lootlove” Shosha.

Zuri tackles critical issues such as submission, celibacy, money and adoption in a manner that is relevant and practical to the modern Christian woman, using the Bible as a yardstick in unpacking these issues.

Zuri is the brainchild of Broadcaster and Community Development Practitioner Ayanda-Allie Paine, through her 100% black female owned corporate social investment and content creation company Shekinah Media. Ayanda is an accomplished media professional with a wealth of experience across various platforms including online media, print, radio and television. She has successfully taken on roles such as Advertising Coordinator and Content Producer at Now Media, News Anchor at Talk Radio 702 and eNCA as well as Producer and Presenter for SABC 2’s Morning Live. Ayanda co-anchored Power Breakfast on Power FM and continues to inspire South Africans as the host of television talk show Visionaries.

Loyiso Bala, Channel Director, TBN in Africa said, “We are thrilled to have Ayanda join our TBN Family as both a host and producer of this much-needed and exciting show. Zuri forms part of our 2019 strategy which is to offer quality content that is original, Afrocentric and thought-provoking. This collaboration with a 100% woman-owned media company shows our commitment to not only enhance our viewership experience but to also create a platform for entrepreneurs and filmmakers who are willing to walk this road with us.”

TBN today is a growing family of over thirty global television networks reaching every inhabited continent with a broad range of inspirational, entertaining and life-changing programming. Globally, TBN is available to an estimated two billion viewers.
