We’ve been experiencing severe power issues in the area where we live. As a result, my fridge recently broke due to a power surge. Given my financial situation, I didn’t have the necessary funds to have my fridge repaired or replaced. I cried out to the Lord for His help. In desperation, I made a post on my Facebook page, and within an hour, someone contacted me. She asked for my bank details and deposited enough funds to have my fridge repaired or to buy a second-hand one.
A ‘new’ fridge, and more!
I then posted in one of our local WhatsApp groups, looking to buy a fridge. A lady contacted me, and we agreed on a price for a fridge she wanted to sell. That evening, she and her husband brought the fridge to my house. When her husband saw that I had two broken fridges, he mentioned that he also buys broken fridges and asked if I’d sell the two to him. I told him to make me an offer. By the time they left, I not only had a “new” fridge, but I was also promised a payment for my two old ones.
School clothes also provided
But that wasn’t all. Later that night, my daughter and I were sitting on the bed, and I shared the miracle with her and told her that I could now buy her the school clothes she needed. That Sunday, one of our church elders approached me after church and said that someone had deposited enough funds to pay for my daughter’s school clothes. I had no words, but I rejoiced! Now I was able take care of all my other commitments as well. “And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work” (2 Cor 9:8).
No end to God’s blessings
Once again, this wasn’t the end of God’s generosity. In the afternoons, I work at a homework centre, and due to the long December holidays, my next salary would only come in at the end of January. When I checked my bank statement, I saw that the person (angel) who helps us monthly had paid double the usual amount for December.
Overflowing grace
This meant that I could buy enough groceries to last us until the end of January. On top of that, I even had a little spending money for the week’s “holiday” in December when my son took us to visit my mother. God’s grace is abundant, and His provision is always there!
