EMPOWER WORSHIP
Empower has a unique DNA in worship. We believe that we are called to create ONE SOUND across the nation – a sound that can unify, build bridges, unite, and exalt Jesus Christ simultaneously. Worship, for us, is not a song; it’s a lifestyle. To worship God is to prize Him above everything else, to honour Him as the highest priority, and to act accordingly.
Worship is the goal
“Salvation is the means; worship is the goal.” In one sense, worship is the whole point of everything. It is the purpose of history, the goal of the whole Christian story. Worship is not one segment of the Christian life among others. Worship is the entire Christian life, seen as a priestly offering to God. And when we meet together as a church, our time of worship is not merely a preliminary to something else; rather, it is the whole point of our existence as the body of Christ.
A vision for South Africa
As Empower, we want to share this worship DNA with South Africa. We recently launched our EP with Dr Tumi, one of my very good friends, and together we want to see a people rise that loves God in Word and worship. We are worshippers, and we believe our nation belongs to the King.
