As I look at the world during this turbulent time of Covid-19 and the accompanying isolation, fear, and stress, I am reminded of the words of Jesus in John 16:33 (NIV): “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! (CEV – “Cheer up!”) I have overcome the world.” The Amplified Bible tells us to take courage, be confident, certain, and undaunted, and goes on to say, “I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.”

I have written an eBook called ‘The JoyRide in 31 Days’. During this 21 day lockdown, why don’t you embark on this adventure with me, and discover and experience the life-changing, transforming power of joy and laughter… and learn how to build and strengthen your ‘joy muscles’. The eBook is normally R 130, but I am offering it for R 50 during this time. The R50 includes a free laughter cd download. In addition, I am offering a free laughter cd download to anyone who would like it. You can download your copy of the book by following this link: www.joy-activist.com/joy-order

This eBook is an amazing, transforming, and anointed guide for anyone seeking the joyful and abundant life that God has intended for His children.

Now more than ever, we need to take heart, cheer up, and rise up, with the joy of the Lord to empower us (Nehemiah 8:10)! As we approach Easter and the resurrection of our Lord Jesus, I also remember that it was for the joy set before Him that He endured the Cross (Hebrews 12:1-3).

Jesus also told us that our enemy is “a thief who comes only to steal and to kill and to destroy” (John 10:10) and I believe that he uses stress as one of his greatest weapons. This time, with the coronavirus, I believe the enemy has overplayed his hand! Jesus continued to say in that same scripture, “I came that they may have life in all its fullness, in abundance, ‘til it overflows, more and better than they ever dreamed of” (various translations).

Stress is the No 1 killer in the world, but laughter is good medicine – and the antidote to stress! Isn’t it time that we bravely wield the weapons of joy and laughter, and fight for this fullness of life?

In doing so, we will show that the Gospel really is Good News. And, in Psalm 2:4 we learn that, “The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them” (His enemies as they rise up against Him). If God laughs at His enemies, shouldn’t we be doing the same? The added bonus is that laughter boosts our immune system, which is so needed right now.

We are all in a war against the enemy but remember, the battle belongs to the Lord. Most importantly, we are called into a deep relationship with Him. “In His presence is fullness of joy” (Psalm 16:11).

In these turbulent times of fear and isolation, I am more convinced than ever that it is time to take our laughter medicine! Laughter boosts the immune system and I believe that we need to ‘laugh in the face of the enemy’! As a Joy Activist and Laughter Coach, I am offering a free ImmunoBoost laughter cd… Visit: www.joy-activist.com/immunoboost
