Arlene and I complete our 3-month assignment in the US on 31 July 2023. We depart for South Africa 1 August and arrive home 3 August. We thank God we successfully caught up on long overdue work with Family Policy Institute’s (FPI) international allies. Most of this vital work was delayed for almost three years as a result of the Covid-19 crisis. However, we strengthened key pro-family alliances and accomplished our objectives during our time in the US. FPI’s global allies bolster our work significantly in SA.
Critically, we have much work to do when we return to South Africa. This includes creating awareness and mobilizing against the sexual rights agenda in education and elsewhere. I have to hit the ground running by immediately organizing a public March to Parliament scheduled for September 2023 – to highlight the dangers of legalized prostitution on vulnerable women.
The “Basic Education Laws Amendment” (BELA) Bill must be defeated. It proposes granting Basic Education Minister, Angie Motshekga and her officials overriding authority to unilaterally implement policies like “Comprehensive Sexuality Education” (CSE) and radical gender ideology in public and private schools including home schooling. This is blatant tyranny!
The agenda to sexualize innocent minor children is relentless. The latest Hollywood attempt to indoctrinate children with sexual rights propaganda in the movie, “Barbie” is exposed by my friend and ally, Dr. Ted Baehr of Movieguide. Parents keep your children away from this movie!
The proposed “Single Marriage Statute” that seeks to abolish man, woman marriage in law and equate same-sex and transgender unions with the Biblical institution of marriage must be opposed and defeated. It presents a grave threat to the natural family and religious freedoms.
Proposed “Hate Crimes” laws present the greatest threat confronting Bible-believing Christians since the advent of democracy. This legislation gives government a blunt instrument to silence and punish Christians and political opponents who oppose its diabolical ideology.
FPI will lead the charge by exposing bad legislation and mobilizing the public to speak out against it. I will participate in several Christian leadership events across the country when I return. We are building consensus for a more-godly South Africa. Please help us in this vital task.
