From the pen of Cary Solomon and Chuck Konzelman, the writers and co-producers of God’s Not Dead, comes a film that addresses the most controversial and polarising topic of our time; abortion.

Dozens of online petitions and campaigns inspired Downtown Entertainment and TruthTV to join forces to show Unplanned in selected Ster Kinekor theatres in South Africa, Namibia, and Zambia as of February 28, 2020.

The movie Unplanned is an inspiring true story of one woman’s journey of transformation.

In the first 5 minutes of the film we meet Abby and her family. All Abby Johnson (played by Ashley Bratcher) ever wanted to do was help women. She is one of the youngest directors of planning for parenting clinics in America, advising countless women on their reproductive and parenting choices. Her passion for the right to choose as a woman stems from the fact that she, as a young woman, had to deal with a great deal of hurt and make choices that would prepare her in advance for the role she would play in other women’s lives. Abby understood both sides of the abortion conversation and was subjectively involved in more than 22,000 abortions … until one day and a first-hand experience in a theatre that leads to life-changing consequences.

Minute 7 of the movie Unplanned marks the beginning of transformation for a woman who would never be the same again. To the extent that she puts her life and reputation at risk to rise as a passionate and zealous pro-life spokeswoman to change the misconceptions of abortions and life.

Unplanned is described by reviewers and critics as; An honest story with shocking facts that cannot be ignored and will shake perceptions.
