For more than 30 years, Radio Tygerberg 104FM has been far more than a radio station. While the Gospel of Jesus Christ is shared daily across the airwaves, the station has always believed that faith should be lived out in practical ways. Over the years, countless communities have been served, people in crisis have been supported, and hope has been restored through outreach initiatives and acts of compassion.
Today, that vision has found a new home through Waves Foundation—Radio Tygerberg’s community initiative that gives ordinary people the opportunity to become part of something extraordinary.
We believe every great wave begins with a single ripple. One act of kindness. One person choosing to make a difference. But when thousands of people join together with the same purpose, those small ripples become waves of change that transform lives and communities.
For as little as R100 per month, you can become a Wave Maker and help make community outreach, relief projects and life-changing initiatives possible. Members receive regular updates on the impact of their contributions, allowing them to see how God is using ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things.
Wave Makers also become part of a growing digital faith community. Every morning, members receive an inspiring WhatsApp devotion to encourage their walk with God. They also enjoy exclusive discounts and priority booking for selected Radio Tygerberg events, including the Sis’ters Women’s Conference and TygerRun, while having opportunities to participate in community outreaches alongside the Waves team.
Jesus called His followers to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world (Matthew 5:13–16). Salt preserves and brings flavour. Light shines in darkness and points people to hope.
