We are gearing up for a hectic and eventful 2024. Besides the General Elections, FPI is preparing to mobilize hundreds of thousands of citizens to democratically oppose a slew of anti-faith and anti-family legislation next year.

We fought several major battles for faith, family and religious freedoms in 2023. Early in the year, FPI mobilized citizens to oppose the disastrous draft “Single Marriage Bill” and the “Sexual Offences Amendment Bill” that seeks to decriminalize the entire sex-industry in South Africa.

Arlene and I spent three months in Los Angeles in the US, 13 April – 31 July 2023. We went to provide family support for my son, Jared and his wife Missy with the birth of their first child, Hannah. We also caught up with long overdue work with FPI’s international allies in the US.

During that time, I launched a national online campaign against Woolworths for their “pride month celebration” initiative. Tens of thousands of Woolworths shoppers emailed Woolworths Group CEO, Roy Bagattini strongly objecting to the retailer’s pro-LGBTQ – anti-family stance.

My social media videos exposing Woolworths “pride celebration” debacle and proposed “Single Marriage Act” went viral. Hundreds of thousands of citizens responded to the ANC regime’s outrageous attempt to strip men and women of the unique legal distinction of marriage simply to appease radical LGBTQ groups and UN agencies – who influence public policy in South Africa.

FPI also led the battle against the proposed “Global Pandemic Treaty” and “EU-ACP Treaty” – working with our international pro-family allies. Both treaties failed to get the required signatories or votes to be ratified. However, the battle to expose these dangers continue in 2024.

We fought numerous battles to defend and protect faith, the natural family and religious freedoms in 2023. Arlene and I and the team at FPI are grateful to God for His grace, wisdom, provision and guidance as we work diligently to expose what is evil and promote what is good.

We also extend our deep gratitude to our loyal partners in this vital ministry. Without your faithful prayers and financial support, FPI cannot do what it does daily. Because of your faithfulness to the cause of Christ, we remain on the frontlines of the battle for Biblical values in South Africa.

Thank you for faithfully standing with FPI for the past 16 years of critical ministry in South Africa.

On a personal note, Arlene and I celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary today 12 December 2023. We give God all the praise and glory for every year of marriage. Our eldest son, Jay and his wife Aniska celebrate their 8th wedding anniversary on 13 December and my youngest son, Jared and his wife, Missy celebrate their 4th wedding anniversary in the US on 14 December 2023.

The FPI team and I are honored and privileged to faithfully serve the Lord and you in the vital ministry of Family Policy Institute for the past 16 years. It is tough and often challenging. But we draw our inspiration and resilience from God’s promises – because He who promised is faithful.

Arlene and I and our family wish you and your precious family a blessed and Christ-filled Christmas. May the love, peace and joy that Christmas brings fill your hearts and homes this season. We pray God will guide, prosper and protect you and your family in the New Year.
