We wish all JOY! readers and family a happy and blessed 2025! As we look forward to the year ahead, with all its blessings, battles, and victories, let us commit to always looking to and following our Lord Jesus Christ. This commitment must lead us to action, for there is a hopeless world out there, searching for peace and hope. As followers of Christ, we hold the answer to their searching, and His Name is Jesus. Let us make 2025 a year of action and mobilisation!
Go into all the world
Mark 16:15-18 reminds us of Jesus’ command, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” This Great Commission is not merely a suggestion, but a call to active obedience. It assures us that those who believe and are baptised will be saved, and miraculous signs will accompany believers: casting out demons, speaking in new tongues, protection from harm, and healing the sick. These promises encourage us to boldly share the Good News, knowing that God’s power goes before us.
The Lord confirms the Word
Mark 16:20 shows the disciples’ faithful response, “And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs.” As we step
out in faith, we can trust that the Lord will work with us, confirming His Word through miraculous signs and wonders. Let 2025 be the year we rise as a mobilised body of Christ, taking His light into every corner of the world.
