Christ for all Nations (CfaN) has had a part in changing the face of Africa. To date, by the grace of God, we have seen more than 81 million people receive Jesus Christ as their Saviour through the ministry of CfaN. We truly thank the Lord for these remarkable numbers. But remember, these 81 million decisions represent 81 million individual people like you and me. They are human beings who decided to follow Jesus Christ, and have come out of darkness to light. So “81 million” is not just a number or statistic; it refers to a group of very real, precious people. We would like to introduce one of these special people to you – one among the millions. She is a young woman from the West African country of Benin.

Testimony of Isha Dean
Isha Dean, 28, was like many young women her age. She wanted to find someone to love her and wanted to live a happy, fulfilled life. But she got lost trying to find those things in the wrong places… Drunken parties and immorality became cheap substitutes for the satisfaction she sought, and soon they shaped her life.

“That was my life: partying, alcohol, and sex. I did those things night after night, constantly trying to be happy. It was my idea of fun,” Isha said.

Living a loose lifestyle
For a while she was not concerned about her loose lifestyle. It did not matter to Isha what kind of men she dated – younger, older, or married with children. Eventually, her reckless life consumed all her money. So Isha began to request money from the men she slept with – but only to spend it on her lifestyle of partying. Isha’s life had no real purpose, and she began to feel how hollow it had become.

Isha’s new life as a Christian started during a CfaN Gospel Crusade in Cotonou, Benin.

An emotional void
In her mind, religion offered no hope. Her Muslim father had already abandoned her family. And her mother’s Christian faith did not appeal to her. The emotional void in Isha’s heart only continued to grow wider and deeper.
“The more parties I attended and the more men I slept with, the more I regretted it,” she told CfaN. “After a while, I even lost the desire to go out. So I would just sit at home alone.”

Trying something new…
Then, for reasons she still does not fully understand, Isha decided to attend the CfaN Gospel Campaign in her city. Her heart began to awaken at the meeting on the first night. Something stirred inside of her as she heard and saw the many miracles.
“I saw people jumping saying, ‘I can walk!’ I heard people shouting, ‘I can see! I can see!’ I could not believe it! I thought, ‘Wow! Jesus can work all these miracles? It’s wonderful!’”

Opening her heart to the Gospel
Such signs and wonders opened Isha’s heart to the Gospel. She realised Jesus offered forgiveness, healing, fulfilment, joy, and real life. So that night, in a crowd of more than 100 000 people, a miracle occurred inside of her. Isha prayed with all of her heart that Jesus would forgive her sins. In that moment she knew God had forgiven her and everything began to change. Immediately Isha turned from her old lifestyle and began to walk with Jesus. And as she grew in faith, her life continued to change dramatically.

“Before, I was visiting clubs, dancing, drinking, smoking, and sleeping around. But not anymore! I am free! Jesus has set me free!”

A life transformed
Now Isha is married and raising her children with a husband who loves her. Everything has changed. Isha’s entire life is brand new. She has experienced the absolute truth of Jesus’ words: “If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed,” (John 8:36) and “I have come that they might have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10).
