The highest-paid actor in the world, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, confessed to being jolted by events that fit into the Bible’s description of end-times scenarios. Just one of the signs Jesus highlighted shook him as he and others watched current events.
After acting in San Andreas—a movie about a huge earthquake along the San Andreas fault—Johnson was so impacted that he trained his children to do drills in case an earthquake hit their home.
Johnson even did an ad with FEMA where he warns people of what to do in case of this type of natural disaster.
When an earthquake that killed 9,000 people hit Nepal the same month San Andreas was released in theaters, Johnson offered his insight: “We made the movie knowing and understanding the content of it and what we were making. In the world we live in and the life we have today, these things happen. It was incredibly unfortunate. Prayers and thoughts continue to go out to everybody in Nepal that was affected by that. If there’s one correlating factor or connective tissue, it would be the ideology of family and strength coming together through a tragedy like this. The truth is you go into a project like this with everything you’ve got, and your heart and your soul, and you just want to make a good movie.”
Here’s the Deal commentator and author, Larry Tomczak, reviews a biblically informed perspective on seven likely end-time scenarios. Should we be fearful … careful … prepare for the return of Jesus?
