During the past week, the ANC tried to sneak a 2 percent VAT hike past its Government of National Unity (GNU) partners – in its pro-corruption budget. That attempt failed miserably. The sudden return of stage 6 loadshedding has rattled the GNU and SA business because of Ramaphosa’s repeated (false) assurances that blackouts was a thing of the past.
The pro-corruption budget was devised to ensure taxpayers foot the bill for ANC failures. Barely a week passes without more evidence emerging the ANC is incapable of governing a modern democracy like South Africa. Rampant state corruption hinders progress and ANC policies callously undermine the family, human dignity and a free-market economy.
Family Policy Institute (FPI) is working diligently to expose the ANC’s destructive policies and encourage citizens to make better choices. A warning I posted on Facebook about ANC corruption attracted 279,446 views in just 6 days. These facts educate citizens.
Significantly, a recent poll conducted by the consistently accurate public policy think tank, “Social Research Foundation” reveal ANC voter support has plunged to just 32 percent – down from 40 percent in May 2024 but polled prior to the attempted 2 percent VAT hike.
Incredibly, The ANC Parliamentary Caucus condemned the rampant fraud and corruption (it facilitates) at Eskom that crippled the power utility. An SIU report revealed massive fraud by Eskom employees. Ramaphosa promised to end this but the rot has seeped too deep.
Rampant tender-fraud, theft, money-laundering and racketeering continues unabated in Ramaphosa’s administration. Corruption reaches right into the president’s office. Minister in the presidency, Khumbudzo Ntshavheni is the latest senior ANC official to be implicated in corruption. She joins a growing list of corrupt ministers shielded by Ramaphosa.
FPI has a lot of work to do over the next few months to defend and protect man, woman marriage from being redefined in the gender-neutral single “Marriage Bill.” We must inform, educate and equip citizens to oppose this family and society destroying agenda.
The foreign-funded “Sex Workers Education & Advocacy Taskforce” (SWEAT) has filed a High Court application to repeal the laws that criminalise the purchase and sale of sex. They are attempting to legalise the sex-industry by judicial decree. This bypasses the normal democratic process and silences your voice. FPI is working to stop this.
FPI also works to expose and replace the harmful sexual indoctrination of innocent children in education. “Comprehensive Sexuality Education” (CSE) must be cancelled and replaced with the safe, common-sense sex-education curriculum, “Smart Choices.”
Critically, however, we need adequate funding to get all this work done. We need your prayers and financial partnership to keep us on the frontlines of the battle for faith, family and freedom. Your prayers and partnership are therefore critical for our success.
As a board-member of the “African Christian Professionals Forum” (ACPF), I am part of the team planning the Pan-African Conference on Family Values in Nairobi, Kenya in May. This major event has already attracted pro-family groups from across Africa and the world.
The vital work of FPI was featured in an article entitled, “Standing for the Natural Family” in the ‘Saturday Observer’ in Eswatini. Many African nations are under attack from leftist groups. The Nairobi Conference provides a forum to formulate responses to these attacks.
Please make a prayerful decision today to partner with the vital pro-family work of FPI. Your generous tax-deductible donation enables us to not only amplify your voice in the corridors of power – but aggressively push back against dangerous anti-family policies.
