This is a testimony of an elderly man who attended a recent Gospel outreach that we hosted. The man had consumed alcohol earlier that day and was not in a good condition at all. The man’s spirit was open to receive the Word of God, even though his flesh was under the influence of alcohol. It is not that we condone his behaviour – but this a testimony to God’s love and mercy.

God is good
Our challenge is to see people through the eyes of Jesus and not through religion or our own perspective. The elderly gentleman suffered from pain in his whole body. After hearing the message, he reached out to the Lord and received complete healing. God is good and healing is a gift to those who believe. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God…” (Eph 2:8).

Jesus is waiting for you!
If you are in the same position as this man – living a life of sin, outside of the mercy and grace of God – God’s love extends to you. Wherever you are and in whatever state you find yourself; come to Jesus. He is waiting for you!
