A golfer, whose mother prophesied his career, expressed gratitude to God following his victory at the US Open.

Speaking to the press after his win, Wyndham Clark shared, “This win is part of God’s plan for me.”

When asked about his struggles with mental health after his mother’s passing ten years ago, he said, “I’m really glad I stuck it through. God has a plan for me, and it’s obviously far greater than I could ever have imagined. Being here now, I feel so blessed, and it’s surreal to look back on my journey over the last seven to ten years.”

During a challenging phase early in his golfing career, Clark’s mother told him, “You will make it onto the PGA tour, and your battle will be a testimony of God’s grace and your Christian faith.”

The PGA organizes professional golf tours in the United States and North America.

The 29-year-old golfer from Denver, Colorado, lost his mother at the age of 19.

On the two-year anniversary of her death, eight years ago, he took to Instagram to honor his late mother. His heartfelt tribute read, “I’ll never truly know why God takes people from this earth at such a young age, but I do know my mom is in a better place enjoying eternity with Jesus. I miss you so much, and I can’t wait till the day I can be in your arms again. I love you up to the moon and as big as the sky. I’ll always be your little man.”

The caption accompanied a photo of her gravestone, which bore the words, “Loved the Lord. She changed lives for the better.”
