On 6 March 2026, more than 3 000 Cambodian Christians gathered at the “Art for Peace” mural in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Their purpose: to pray for peace in Cambodia and the rest of the world. FEBA Cambodia’s OBV (Outside Broadcasting Van) was on site, broadcasting the prayer via radio and social media to thousands of believers across the country.

The conflict between Cambodia and Thailand, which escalated to direct armed conflict in July 2025, centres on a border dispute involving Preah Vihear Temple. When the border between the two countries was drawn in 1907, during French colonial rule, it placed the Hindu temple on the Cambodian side. Thailand has long contested the border placement, citing differences between the map and the original treaty negotiated between France and Thailand between 1904 and 1907.

Last year’s open conflict forced tens of thousands of Cambodians living along the border to flee their homes. FEBA Cambodia joined hands with other organisations to provide 500 packages containing food and other essentials, as well as radios and audio speaker boxes. These allow listeners to receive news updates through FEBA Cambodia’s shortwave radio station, Voice of Love FM, which also seeks to spread hope through Bible verses, prayers, and worship music.

Oum Srey, whose husband serves on the frontline, told FEBA Cambodia, “There are moments when my heart feels heavy and uncertain about tomorrow. Through prayer and listening to God’s Word, I am reminded that God is leading my way, protecting my family, and walking with us through every challenge … I am deeply thankful to Voice of Love for giving me an audio Bible box, which has become a daily source of comfort, strength, and hope for my heart.”
