Testimony of Kgang Moloke
Article source: JOY! Magazine
In the quiet town of Klerksdorp in the North West, where life moves at a steady rhythm and faith is deeply rooted in the community, a young man named Kgang Moloke discovered his God-given passion for technology. Long before he became a leader in the software industry, Kgang spent countless hours in his bedroom, captivated by the potential of coding. What seemed like an ordinary fascination was, in fact, a calling—one that would lead him to impact lives through innovation, mentorship, and a steadfast faith in God’s plan. Today, Kgang holds a master’s degree in software engineering, leads a high-performing software delivery team, runs his own tech start-up, Mampudi Labs, and shares his wisdom through his growing podcast, Coding Culture. But through it all, he remains grounded in his faith, knowing that every step of his journey has been guided by the Lord.
A purpose-driven calling
“Growing up in Klerksdorp, I didn’t always have access to the resources big-city tech entrepreneurs had,” Kgang reflects. “But God placed a passion in my heart, and I trusted Him to make a way.” With limited local opportunities in software development, Kgang turned to online learning, open-source communities, and mentorship, believing that perseverance and faith would open doors. And they did. “For me, it’s always been about impact. Mampudi Labs was born out of a desire to create solutions that truly matter, especially in underserved communities. But beyond the technology, I know that my work must glorify God and serve His people.” Though he has stepped back from daily operations at Mampudi Labs to focus on leading a software delivery team, his mission remains the same: to uplift others, share knowledge, and use technology to reflect God’s goodness.
Trusting God in the journey
Kgang attributes much of his growth and success to divine guidance. “Earning my master’s degree in software engineering was a major milestone, but I know it wasn’t by my own strength alone. God gave me wisdom, resilience, and a hunger to learn,” he says. “Every challenge I’ve faced has been an opportunity to trust Him more.” As a leader, Kgang understands that innovation is not just about building better software – it’s about building people. He has successfully led a quality analyst team that saved 10 000+ work hours through automation, yet he believes the true value of technology lies in serving others. “AI and automation should never replace human purpose. They should free people to focus on what truly matters – whether in work, in life, or in our walk with Christ.”
A vision rooted in faith
As he continues his journey, Kgang’s vision remains clear: to inspire the next generation of tech leaders, mentor others, and bring God’s light into the industry. His podcast is more than just a tech discussion platform – it’s a space where he can encourage others to embrace their talents, and take bold steps. “I want to be remembered as someone who used technology to make a difference, who inspired others to dream big, and who remained faithful to God’s calling,” Kgang shares. “God has given each of us gifts, and it’s our responsibility to use them for His glory.”
Faith and personal passions
Beyond his professional work, Kgang finds joy in the simple things – walking, meditation, and reflecting on God’s Word. He is fascinated by Japanese culture and anime, drawing creative inspiration from the stories he encounters. He also enjoys exploring cryptocurrency and distributed applications, always eager to learn and adapt to the ever-evolving world of technology. Through all his achievements, one thing remains constant – his unwavering faith. “Technology is powerful, but nothing compares to the power of trusting God with your journey.”
When passion meets purpose
Kgang Moloke’s story is a testament to what is possible when passion meets purpose and when faith leads the way. In every line of code he writes, every team he mentors, and every conversation he shares, he continues to walk boldly in the path God has set before him, using technology as a tool to serve, uplift, and inspire.
