Archaeology just continues to declare the truth of the Bible.
Recently, archaeological evidence in Jerusalem has surfaced that matches perfectly with descriptions of the tomb from a Scriptural account.
According to the Mirror, Jesus’ tomb is believed to have been at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, as according to the description of found in the Gospel of John that describes there being a garden there and a new tomb where no man was previously buried.
Now, scientific testing has confirmed that olive trees and grapevines were indeed under the floor of the basilica.
As Charisma News previously reported, L.A. Marzulli predicted before that the most likely place for Jesus’ tomb to be located was by the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
“Out of the three sites—the Mount of Olives, the Garden Tomb and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre—in my opinion, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre wins hands down,” Marzulli said.
Professor Francesca Romana Stasolla from the Sapienza University of Rome spoke to the Times of Israel on the excavation process, stating that, “While we have not been able to see the entire church excavated in one glance, new technologies are allowing us to reconstruct the bigger picture in our labs. If we were talking about a puzzle, we could say we are only excavating one piece at a time, but eventually, we will have a complete multimedia reconstruction of the full picture.”
This latest archaeological discovery serves as yet another prophetic witness to the reliability and accuracy of Scripture. As stones are unearthed and soil is sifted, even the earth itself seems to cry out in confirmation of what the Bible has declared for millennia. In a time when truth is often questioned and the Word of God challenged, these findings act as a divine reminder that God’s Word stands firm, undaunted by time, science or skepticism.
For believers, this is more than just a validation of geography or history—it is a prophetic signpost pointing to the soon return of the risen King. The ground where He walked is now testifying with undeniable voice: the Word became flesh, dwelt among us, was buried—and He lives forevermore.
