Opinion piece by Errol Naidoo; Family Policy Institute

Municipal Elections polling indicate the ANC is in decline across the country. Even die hard ANC loyalists have realised the party is incapable of governing at any level. The former liberation movement has degenerated into a self-enriching organised crime network.

Significantly, however, the ANC remains the largest party in the Government of National Unity (GNU) until the General Elections in 2029. It is committed to imposing its destructive Marxist ideology on South Africa’s citizens despite the catastrophic failures of its policies.

There is a battle underway for the soul of South Africa. Several civil-society groups are engaged in this battle both domestically and internationally. Family Policy Institute (FPI) and Rescue SA Civil Rights Alliance (RSACRA) are two such frontline organisations.

Sadly, while FPI defends and protects faith, family & freedom in SA, its financial support declined considerably over the past 18 months. If our R120,000 deficit (for 2026) expands any further, I will be forced to suspend the ministry as an ongoing concern.

We are resisting formidable attacks against the Christian faith, the biblical definition of marriage, the natural family, parental rights, the innocence of children, the safety and dignity of women and religious freedoms. We simply cannot shut down at this critical time.

FPI’s current financial shortfall indicates we may not make it to the new year. We therefore urgently need your prayers and financial partnership to keep us on the frontlines of the battle for faith, family & freedom in SA. We cannot do what we do without your partnership.

Will you please, therefore, make a generous once-off tax-deductible donation today to ensure FPI continues fighting for your values where it matters most. We must reduce our deficit by 31 October or face suspension. This would be disastrous for our vital work.

You can transfer your contribution directly into FPI’s banking account via EFT. Tax-certificates are available on request at anaidoo@familypolicyinstitute.com. Alternatively, consider a monthly donation of any amount to support FPI’s vital efforts.

Please commit to a regular monthly contribution of any amount for a 12 month period. You can begin January or February 2027. This will help FPI establish its battle plan for the year ahead. 2027 is shaping up to be a year of major battles for faith, family and freedom in SA.

SWEAT’s application to legalise the entire sex-industry in SA via the courts will be heard in mid 2027. The hearing will coincide with the African Christian Professional Forum’s (ACPF) 3rd Pan-African (international) Conference on Family Values in Cape Town in May 2027.

We will gather pro-life and pro-family groups from across the continent of Africa to strategise with allies from the US, Europe, South America and Asia to make a bold declaration for the sanctity of life, marriage, family, parental rights and religious freedoms.

The work of “Rescue SA Civil Rights Alliance” is now critical. The NGO was established to hold the ANC and other corrupt politicians accountable for crimes against the people of SA in local and international courts. RSACRA lodged its first case in the High Court on 19 May.

I serve as Director and spokesperson for RSACRA in addition to my duties at Family Policy Institute. These are desperate times we live in – and desperate times calls for desperate measures. RSACRA consists of some of South Africa’s top legal advocates for civil justice.

RSACRA – working with its allies – intend holding corrupt politicians accountable for their crimes in courts of law. We will focus on the denial of children’s rights, farm murders and gang violence on the Cape-flats, the water-crisis and the decline of safety and security.

We are monitoring the gender-neutral “Marriage Bill” that seeks to redefine man, woman marriage in law as well as the ANC’s agenda to legalise the entire sex-industry in SA. FPI continues to lead efforts against the sexualization of children in the schooling system.

My recent trip to the US to attend the ‘Geneva Consensus Declaration’ event in Washington DC presented several unique opportunities to enhance and strengthen our pro-family and religious freedom work in SA. I met with key conservative leaders in the US.

I am committed and actively defending faith, family, & freedom in FPI as well as collaborating with the skilled legal professionals in RSACRA to hold corrupt politicians accountable for failing to fulfil their constitutional obligations to the South African people.

Critically, however, FPI’s financial crisis could effectively silence my voice and end my vital work in SA. But you can help ensure the worst does not happen. Please commit to pray for the ministry of FPI and financially support our vital work with a generous donation today.
