FEBA Moldova is sharing God’s love with Ukrainian refugees. Situated to the south-west of Ukraine, Moldova is one of the smallest, poorest countries in Europe, yet since the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian war in February 2022, they have taken in more than 100,000 refugees. Within this predominantly Christian country there is tension between pro-Russian and pro-West factions. While Russian TV news and political shows have been banned, the media still fans the flames of division between countrymen, using the fear of warfare as their fuel.
From the start, FEBA Moldova has reached out to help refugee families. The team has not only assisted with practical arrangements, but also distributed thousands of USB drives with pre-loaded content, specially prepared by FEBA Ukraine to bring their people hope and comfort. They have helped more than 70,000 refugees in this way.
FEBA Moldova broadcasts on seven radio stations, and produces videos in Romanian and Russian for online platforms. They have received 18 million views so far. The team also hosts programs for teens and children. FEBA Moldova’s ministry provided the necessary support when some of FEBA Ukraine’s stations could not broadcast.
A listener named Ivan contacted the FEBA Moldova counselling helpline. In spite of a prosperous life, he struggled with suicidal thoughts and desperately wanted to know God. The counsellors shared the truth about sin, repentance, and God’s love with Ivan, who then prayed a prayer of repentance. “The tormenting feeling is gone,” he said afterwards. “This is such a huge relief. Thank you!”
