“If God created all things, then who created sin?”
This is one of the questions FEBA Thailand is addressing through its new program, Ask a Christian. Only 0.77% of Thailand’s population are Christians, leaving a lot of room for misperceptions and false beliefs about the Christian faith that are frequently spread on social media.
The Ask a Christian program is FEBA’s answer to this problem. Using the same platforms, the program seeks to knock down strongholds with biblical truth. The team behind the program says, “Every hard question, every topic the world has twisted or exploited – we take it head-on. No filters, no safe answers. Just the truth, delivered directly into the [social media] feed of a nation that has been fed everything else.”
The response has exceeded all expectations. In its first season, Ask a Christian drew more than 1 million views and 50 000 responses. Thousands of viewers engaged with the team in the comment section, arguing and pushing back, but willing to have meaningful conversations.
“A person’s heart doesn’t always open with immediate agreement,” the team says. “Sometimes it opens with a question or a debate that captures their attention.”
This program is just one of the numerous ways FEBA Thailand is working to reach the unreached through media. The team is participating in the “Thailand 1-1-1” project, which aims to see 1 million Thai Christians, 10 000 churches, and 10 000 pastors in Thailand by 2028.
