“We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.”
(2 Corinthians 4:8-9)
FEBA Ukraine has opened a new radio station in Ivano-Frankivsk. This is the third one to open since the Russian invasion began in February 2022. The new station has a potential reach of approximately 700,000 listeners.
FEBA Ukraine currently has eight stations, including the most recent additions in Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv and Ivano-Frankivsk. “We received a temporary licence in Kyiv, which was a miracle,” says Dennis Akhterov, correspondent for FEBA Ukraine. “This station has a reach of around 5 million people in Kyiv and the surrounding region.”

The conflict is escalating and people live in a near-constant state of fear and grief. FEBA Ukraine has more than 30 Christian counsellors operating their phone helpline. They have also started a text-based online counselling service, which is popular with young people.
One caller, Konstantin, phoned the FEBA Ukraine helpline a few days after learning that his father, brother and girlfriend had died. They were living in a city not far from him.
“I haven’t slept since I heard,” he said. “I even tried cutting my wrists. I’m all alone.” He could only contact his surviving family once every three days.
FEBA Ukraine’s counsellors shared the message of God’s love with Konstantin, which calmed him. “It’s like I can feel the ground under my feet again.” He was surprised to learn that he could pray to God using his own words and thanked the counsellors for helping him. “You’re the only ones who answered my call.”
