The fight-back for the soul of South Africa is growing in intensity, strength, and capacity. Several non-governmental-organisations (NGO’s) labour diligently to hold elected public officials accountable in courts of law for serious crimes against the people of South Africa.
The constitutional challenge to the Expropriation Act kicked off in the Western Cape High Court on 3 Aug. The DA, Afriforum and others are challenging the validity of the Act that grants the state authority to sieze private land, farms, houses etc with nil compensation.
The Expropriation Act lies at the heart of SA’s stand off with the Trump administration.
“Rescue SA Civil Rights Alliance” (RSACRA) was established in 2025 to primarily hold politicians implicated in corruption accountable in courts of law. The Alliance consists of top legal professionals – some of whom give of their time freely to defend civil society from the despicable criminal acts of corrupt, incompetent and self-serving public officials.
On Tuesday 4 August RSACRA will convene its first Public Information Reception in Cape Town. The event is designed to share critical information with prospective financial partners who hopefully will help it fight its legal challenges all the way to the Constitutional Court.
An esteemed panel of speakers will provide an accurate assessment of the state of the nation. They include Adv Mark Oppenheimer, businessman Rob Hersov, economist Dawie Roodt, global trade advisor Donald MacKay and economic researcher Theuns Du Buisson.
The first case, challenging the constitutionality of race-based laws in South Africa was lodged with the North Gauteng High Court on 19 May. This case will be argued by Adv Mark Oppenheimer – a constitutional law expert. If successful, it will fundamentally change the way BBEEE laws are implemented and provide a boost for SA’s ailing economy.
This case has already attracted attention from like-minded organisations – some of whom applied to join the ‘race-based laws’ case as amicus curiae (friend of the court). The ANC uses apartheid-era race-classification in law to discriminate against racial minorities.
Most economists agree, the way the ANC manipulates BEE laws to enrich a small group of politically connected individuals while consigning millions of previously disadvantaged citizens to poverty, joblessness and despair has severely undermined SA’s economy.
While the race-based laws case makes its way through the court system, a RSACRA legal team is finalising its second case. This application will sue the ANC for the catastrophic collapse of the water supply infrastructure in SA – caused by corrupt and inept ANC cadres.
A media report indicates, water contamination has surged from 5% to 46% as corrupt and grossly incompetent municipal officials raid the water revenue. Despite collecting R500 billion in revenue, the municipalities cannot pay salaries or provide basic services.
A national treasury official admitted, “local government is failing spectacularly. The crisis, Ms. Gaarekwe emphasised, is not about money but about catastrophic failures in capacity, governance and financial management.” This is evident wherever the ANC misgoverns.
Although Treasury allocates billions in taxpayer funds for local governance maintenance and service delivery, corrupt and incompetent officials greedily loot the municipalities with impunity – causing critical public infrastructure to collapse, including the water supply.
President Ramaphosa is aware of these failures. Denying citizens basic human rights like clean water is a crime against humanity. RSACRA’s ultimate goal is to hold the ANC accountable for crimes against humanity at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
Other cases legal teams at RSACRA are finalising include challenging the state’s violations of the constitutional rights of children. The Constitution grants children specific rights and protections. But ANC governance failures caused the deaths of many vulnerable children.
The ANC led government failed to uphold the constitutional safety and security rights of citizens by allowing organized crime to infiltrate and control police and crime intelligence services. Socio-economic rights have also been degraded by the ANC’s disastrous ideology-driven economic and foreign policy that caused widespread economic hardship.
Please pray for the vital work of RSACRA and its partners. Pray that God will give us wisdom and favour with business people to raise the finances for these critical battles to rescue the nation from the wicked. SA has a promising future – if you and I stand together.
