Rolene Strauss, the beautiful South African former Miss World, has just released a Christian devotional book in both English and Afrikaans.
This daily devotional book consists of 52 weeks’ worth of reflections, scriptures, messages, and space to journal your own reflections.
In the book Rolene shares about her journey as a young girl, growing up with many insecurities, and how she overcame them through God’s promises. She shares tips and methods on how to overcome your own struggles with self-identity.
In her foreword she writes, “Are you allowing yourself to be measured by society’s prescription of the perfect woman? Is the measuring tape called ‘perfect’ stealing your self-confidence, your joy, your potential, your life? Join me in a year-long journey to discover your true worth. It is time for you to say, ‘No, Perfect. You can’t steal my self-confidence.’ Discover your strength. Imagine a self-confident you, full of joy, peace, and love as you grow into all you can be.”
Strauss references Paul, writing, “God’s grace is sufficient for us. His power is made perfect in our weakness. When I am weak, then I am strong. In Him – who gives me strength.”
